Hello,
Thanks for taking a second.
I'm currently in my (lengthy) editing process for a new story. I've posted a few stories before and have done so without an editor. However, I would be curious to get feedback on my latest. I know time is a limited commodity for a lot of people so I want to be up front: my story is about 25.5K words. It's going to be posted in the First Time category. Quick synopsis: An introverted, male college freshman develops a friendship with a girl who takes it upon herself to get him out of his shell. She hosts a get-together with friends and... he is brought out of his shell.
I had a lot of fun writing it, and I wonder if perhaps it could be trimmed a bit, maybe objective eyes would help. I've done my first read-thru for grammar and spelling/word choices/concision. I have not done my audio-read-aloud edit, where I tend to catch a lot of my missing words. What I'm really looking for is mostly feedback on the story, characters, is my imagery hitting home the way I want it to.
