Esquire recommendations

Sometime over the next year I may be single again. So, I am drawn to this article by Esquire magazine:

Do I really need to invest $4355 on this stuff, do you think?

No, I don't. Unless you want to buy them for yourself.

If you're a good person who is seriously looking to be there with and for someone, you don't need any of those things.

It depends upon what you are seeking as to whether you need those items. A down to earth, practical girl wouldn't demand a certain sort of dress style. IMHO, the high maintainance types would, however.

I think the list is intended to be general recommendations for stuff a guy can find useful to have on hand, like a lot of women have the ubiquitous "little black dress" and a strand of pearls. The dress doesn't have to be designer and the pearls don't have to be real, but both provide multifunctional wear--from cocktail parties to funerals. Whether you're single, married, or "other," it can't hurt to have a nice, white button-down shirt, dress jacket, and black dress shoes on hand--be it to wear to a job interview or on a first date.
