ESPN has announced that Joe Tessitore and Booger McFarland won’t return to Monday Night Football. ESPN has not yet named their replacements.

Michael McCarthy of FrontOfficeSports.com reports that ESPN is biding its time because it plans to shift Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit into the NFL booth if the college football season is canceled or postponed.

and then what if the NFL season is cancelled or postponed (like everthing fucking else; it seems like they now expect people to just live in their foxholes with no fun, no entertainment, for the rest of their lives??)

I know.... NASCAR will hire em! I can see Fowler and Herbstreit now, commenting on Hamlin lapping Harvick and putting Kezlowski into the wall like he typically deserves.

Don’t start planning your tailgating parties just yet. Dr. Anthony Fauci gave some dire news Thursday morning regarding the future of football.

As football players at all levels are preparing to return to the gridiron this fall, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases said football may not take place unless there are major precautions taken.

“Unless players are essentially in a bubble — insulated from the community and they are tested nearly every day — it would be very hard to see how football is able to be played this fall,” Fauci said on CNN. “If there is a second wave, which is certainly a possibility and which would be complicated by the predictable flu season, football may not happen this year.”

Hundreds of thousands of people have not been practicing social distancing for two weeks. Thousands have not worn masks. Simultaneously, tens of thousands of residents of "shut down" states have simply driven across state lines to "open" states to go shopping, eat, etc. People are recreating. Many churches are open. Factories have remained open all across the country. Several big box stores never shut down. They did their best to follow rules but, frankly, not everyone follows rules and there are not enough workers to watch hundreds of shoppers.

This has been going on for SEVERAL weeks.

People are interacting. People are and are not following rules/recommendations.

Football will not have any more or less impact than what has already been happening all across the country.

Why don't we let Fauci decide the fate of some sport no one cares about? The guy is a clown.

The Guy Fauci Mask

Wants to stop all football.

I wonder if my Pat Mahomey will find that Racist oppression from this white man...
