Intro-

2456. Earth is suffering. Corruption, greed, and slavery run rampant. Contact with other species had been established in 2210. Since then mankind had become a power in the space faring community. Colonies has been established, wars have been fought, lost and won. Mankind is at war with no one, and everyone. There are no peace treaties just loose non aggression packs.

Earth culture is that of a one unified race. Countries only exist in culture they really no longer play a part in influencing Earth. The only thing that does is the Earthen Council that rules Earth now and protects its peoples and maintains its military and colonies.

Many new species have been discovered. (Feel free to create one in your profile if you so desire.) Many have all been met with armed conflict and enslavement if mankind won. Mankind is now very militaristic. Space technology is quite advanced. Jump drives, node travel(hyper space) combat ships. Think star wars without jedi and light sabers, more a long the lines of star trek, but smaller scale ships. Massive ships exist but personal space faring vessels are more common. As full scale ships are military in nature and not available to single pilots. Space piracy is common. Energy weapons are the norm. Ballistics still exist but are usually more expensive. Not a whole lot protection against Ballistics except bullet proofing and things of that nature., Energy weapons you have your standard energy shields that absorb and what not.

Really just let your imagination run rampant just as long as it doesn't turn into Star Wars I don't really care. Assassins are really normal in this universe. Lots of corruption and greed to play with.

Garret looked at his ship's console as it beeped at him. Tired eyes scanned the radar looking for inconsistencies. Nothing seemed out of the norm. He leaned back in his chair and closed his tired eyes. His hands roamed up to his face where the bottom of his face no longer existed. It was a souvenir of the last great war between Man and Hasrins, a race of insects. Which mankind pushed into the far reaches of space. A very uncommon sight in today's world. Garrett was fitted with a metal jaw and chin replacement, which he hates to this day.

His thoughts drifted to that of his last job. Messy by his standards but a stellar job by his employer's standards.

Windy. Heavy overcast. That is what greeted him when he touched down on the planet of Oscar V. His ship has landed in a remote area of the planet, illegally. Garret rose from his chair and walked down the hallway of his ship to his ready room where his suit and rifle waited for him. He rubbed his forehead as he prepared for what he was about to do. He reached for the trunk on the floor. He ran his palm over the palm reader and it triggered the lock and the trunk popped open. He reached inside and removed his armor. His armor was nothing short of sleek. It was an exoskeleton. A second skin. He slid it on. God how he loved to be in his armor. It fit to his body and sealed as pulled it over his body. He looked down on his forearm and all his vitals were displayed on a readout.

He smiled, though having a metal lower jaw, it was hard to see. The suit he knew would provide stealth, protection from ballistics and energy weapons and environmental hazards. He then reached for his helmet which he slid on his head and it locked with the suit with a hissing sound creating and air tight seal. He rolled his neck forward popping it. He moved his shoulders back popping them as well and then his back. He knew he was in for a touch time when his feet hit the ground.

He picked up the suitcase sitting on the table and opened it. His eyes lovingly looked up and down the length of the rifle laying in the case. His fingers reached out and he took it out and inspected it for a moment and then returned it. He closed the case picked it up and grabbed a pistol from his armory just in case.

He walked down the loading ramp of his ship hit a button it folded back up...and went invisible. He walked toward the vantage point he was to take if he was to hit his target. His body molded with the terrain as did the case he was carrying. Almost invisible but not quite. Enough for someone not to notice who wasn't specifically looking for him.

His eyes scanned the area. He was outside a small village where a meeting was to take place. A very important meeting. Nothing short of ground breaking for mankind. It was a peace delegation between a rebel human faction and the rest of mankind. His task was to eliminate the rebel Representative. His employer didn't want peace between the two factions, peace as it turned out was bad for business.

Garrett moved through the village toward an open field that would over look the meeting. He quietly made his way around the outskirts and into the field. Dropping to the ground he crawled his way to a position that would overlook the meeting. Satisfied with his position he began to assemble his rifle. He only used ballistic ammunition. It was his calling card. Not many others bothered with it anymore when energy was so much cheaper and widely available. He made his own bullets. He always liked to know what was in them when he fired. He placed one handcrafted hollow point into the chamber and cocked the rifle. He placed the silencer on the barrel and then peered down the scope.

The delegates where beginning to file into the meeting hall. He knew his target would be sitting at a table facing his vantage point. Not long after everyone was seated a man appeared and sat where his target was supposed to be. Wearing rebel colors of blue and green, Garrett knew this was his man. He sized him up in his scope. His finger idly caressing the trigger as he prepared to fire. Garrett took a deep breath, exhaled slowly and squeezed the trigger. The round flew threw the air, crashed through the window and split into the man's head throwing him backward and down out of view of Garrett. Satisfied with the Garrett stood up and began to pack up quickly disassembling his rifle and returning it to its case.

He turned back toward where his ship would of been and began to run toward it. He ran hard and fast. Not wanting to give anyone time to react. His not their silhouette made appearances now and then but it looked like nothing more then light tricks by the sun. Rounding the outskirts of town and heading for his ship he noticed a security guard poking around his ship was parked. The ship was visable now as the security had tripped the invisibility.

"Shit" Garrett said softly his hand moving toward the silenced pistol he brought with him. He could only see one guard and that is all that was needed to alert them of his presence besides the dead delegate. He crept up slowly and took aim with the pistol and fired. The round finding its mark and the guard dropped. He took off toward his ship opening the loading dock with his wrist read out and ran toward the cockpit and began lift off procedures.

His ship lifted off and was immediately met with ground fire from security personnel. An anti-aircraft round pierced the hull of his ship sending it into a short spiral but Garrett pulled it out and blasted into space. The ship self sealed the affected area of the ship and Garrett began to check his bank account.

Deposited: 1,000,000 credits. He nodded.
