I did something similar to this on another board and it worked out well. So I thought I'd try it here.

What songs have inspired you most to write erotic stories? My answer must include the songs in my own stories and a few others.

Eve 6- "Inside Out." This one was in "The Rendezvous."

Loverboy- "Notorious." This one was in "Fear, Lust, and Vanity." The Toyota Commerical Music in there also worked well, as did the other songs I can't recall at the moment.

The Conviction theme song "Destiny" by Syntax. You can read its lyrics in "Conviction: In Mens Rea" or hear it in any Conviction episode.

The BeeGees ("Stayin' Alive," "Tragedy"), Barry White (duh), Melissa Etheridge (especially "Angels Would Fall"), Sarah McLachlan ("Possession"), Divinyls ("Touch Myself"), and George Michael ("Faith") have also been particularly influential. And of course Duran Duran's "Come Undone"- the one that started it all. :)

Post your own fun songs here! :)

One of mine is fairly obvious. My erotic horror story, Home by the Sea, is inspired by the Genesis song of the same name. It's still linked in my sig.

Heh, I read the thread title the other way around, and atared thinking "What songs have been inspired by erotica?" :)

I can't say an particular song inspired any particular story - but I do like a good, raunchy song to get me in the mood. Actually, I did a thread a while back o Songs that bring you to climax...let me dig around my subscribed threads a moment...

*muffled banging noises, the odd swear word*

...ahh here it is

a thread for inspiration I think :)

The ones that Chef sings on South Park might trigger something someday. :D

Love Gravy
"I'm gonna make love to you woman, gonna lay you down by the fire. And caress your womanly body, make you moan and perspire. Gonna get those juices flowin', we making love gravy, love gravy, love love love love GRAVY!"

Simultaneous
"Baby, you know you're the girl for meeeeee/And all that I want to beeeee..../You!/And Me!/...And her! SI-MUL-TAN-E-OUS!You!/And Me!/And you and you!/Simultaneous lov-in, baby/two or three!/SI-MUL-TAN-E-OUS!/Oooh, that's right..."

When a Man Loves a Woman
"When a man loves a woman/And a woman loves a man/...Well, sometimes the man doesn't love the woman,/But he pretends like he does, in order to get some action/The magic starts to happen/And the two take off their clothes-that's right!/They carress and touch each other/Until a part of the man grows/Ooooo they roll around and things are really start to gettin hot!/And the man says I love and the woman says...HoldonasecondIgottatogotothebathroom/And you wait and you wait and you wait and you wait...........and you wait and you wait and you wait/You wait and you're coolin down and she's still goin to the bathroom/Finally she comes back and she says-baby I'm gettin hot!/And that's when you gotta jam her butt and PUMP HER FULL OF-"

Zombie Chef (Sung to Michael Jackson's "Thriller".)
"I'm gonna make love, even when I'm dead. My body might get cold, but it's always hot in my bed. Make love, don't be afraid. Just because my heart ain't beatin', don't mean you won't get laid. Owwwww.

Ah, yes, Chef. His songs are fun. I gave a shout out to him in "The Rendezvous." Complicated people, Hayes and his fellow Scis. :)

Other songs that have aroused me:

"Stroke You Up" by R Kelly.

"Be With You" by Mr. Big.

"Drove All Night" by Celine Dion (also "Power of Love").

"Mambo #5" by Lou Vega.

Alejandro Sanz MTV Unplugged Concert...

Three of his songs have made into my stories... with two others in the wings.

Sincerely,
ElSol

Like EL said, I've no particular song that inspires a particular story, but songs of a particular kind tend to create moods for various stories.

However, one song that pretty much spells out erotic obsession is Sting's "I Burn For You" from his movie "Brimstone and Treacle". Also, the Peter Gabriel Soundtrack from The Last Temptation of Christ has some very interesting rhythms.

soft rock is always good for getting the erotica juices flowing. I have written one story to a song -but it's not here on lit. It waswritten for a friend and the song is "pour some sugar on me" by Def Leppard.

List of shame!

This is so embarassing, but I find Duran Duran's Hungry like the wolf really sexy and inspiring! Pachabel's Canon in D is also pretty good (I heard it was listed on the top 100 songs to make love to.) I think the lead singer from Filter has the most beautiful voice, so most of his songs turn me on!
