Do you have goals or resolutions for your writing on Literotica for 2019?

I have quite a few, some of which I will keep to myself. Here are a few for 2019:

1. Write and publish at least one story per month on average. That would bring my total at my three-year anniversary to 35.
2. Finish my Hotel Exhibitionist series, with three more chapters.
3. Publish stories in at least three categories I have not published in before. Three that I have in mind are romance, mature, and fetish.
4. Finish the year knowing that I'm better at doing this than I was at the beginning of the year.

The only goal I have for 2019 at the moment is to have 100 stories in the KeithD account by the end of the year, which shouldn't be difficult as I have 73 now and have more written and banked than would take me to 100. In the process, I want to have KeithD make the top 10 GM production list (to go along with my earlier account, sr71pt, which is in the top GM position now and should comfortably keep that position through 2019).

I hope LIT is not so central to my life that I feed a need for goals.

My goals are pretty modest.

I'd like to have five more published here and three published on the zon.

Stay in the top #150 authors as RR. Get SOTM going again, and finish part 2 of my Darkni history trilogy as Dark. Get a new Magic of the Wood story out for Earth Day as Les. Get a good chunk of a secret project ready for review within a couple of months.

That's pretty much it. With the capriciousness of my muse, I'm not going to try to shoot for anything more than that.

Zing!

I have a few goals, though they don't necessarily revolve around Lit. I plan on finishing the three series (serieses? seriesi?) that I started this year and get them polished up and self published on Amazon before some twat can steal them and claim them as their own.

My secondary goal is to complete a novel, self publish it, then release it chapter by chapter for free on Lit (working on this now).

Third, ultimately I'd like to have a story in every category on Lit. I think it would be a fun way to explore sexuality in writing. Every category might be a stretch to complete in a year, so I'm going to aim for Erotic Horror, Loving Wives, Incest/Taboo, and NonCon. Probably going to regret those choices though.

Me too! I forgot that one. I almost completed my Halloween story in time for the contest, but not quite. I will not let it go unpublished for that contest in 2019.

I'm working on one for this category right now! For Valentine's Day, though. Because I tend to do things ironically more than logically.

Sounds fun. You'll do the Valentine's Day story with horror. I'm going to do it with bondage.

Frankly, I think nothing says 'Will you be mine?' better than some leather cuffs and a whip, but maybe that's just you and I.

To just keep on writing self-indulgent stuff that some folk might like, to put up with you lot on AH (easier with some than others, but it’s useful to spit coffee regularly as it keeps my screen clean :)). Otherwise, goals? Why limit yourself with a list written on day one? I’d just ignore it anyway, and proceed with what I feel like doing.

I saw the thread title and thought "Oh, yeah, I've got some erotic goals", then I read the first post and saw you meant writing goals.

No goals really, other than to persevere.

Do you have goals or resolutions for your writing on Literotica for 2019?..... Here are a few for 2019:

1. Write and publish at least one story per month on average. That would bring my total at my three-year anniversary to 35.
.....
4. Finish the year knowing that I'm better at doing this than I was at the beginning of the year.

My writing goals for 2019 aren't exclusive to Literotica! Nothing too ambitious. Haha. My New Year's resolution is to keep myself focused on the immediate story I'm writing and just get it done. I waste far too much time starting stories, half-finishing them and then parking them and going on to work on something else. So I am setting myself very definite goals for 2019 as far as writing goes.

First: I am aiming to get one novel a month off to my publisher or my tentative alternate publisher. All erotic novels, it goes without saying. Science Fantasy ("Blood Sacrifice" - I wrote the short story and it was published but I'm going to do a full length novel version now)). Science Fiction (one). The two remaining books in the Mistaken Identity Trilogy, plus a list of others. About four of them are already partly written so it's not as tough as it sounds. I do want to self-publish one or two in 2019 myself as well.

Second: One short story a month for Literotica. Some of them sequels to existing ongoing stories, some of them new, and I want to get a story into every competition and writing event through 2019.

Third - do a 2019 Australian Story Event if there's enough interest. An open entry event again, for anyone that's interested.

Third: I should mention Wattpad too. I've just gotten started there and reader views have picked up slowly, but they're picking up and I want to get to work copying stories from Literotica over and adding them there. I think one a month as it's copy and paste, but with Wattpad you really need to break it down into short chapters, which takes a little more effort. And you can add images and youtube videos - and finding the right ones takes time. Right now, I'm getting "A Troll is Haunting Tex's up there and finished off, building out that big vampire fight scene from a couple of paragraphs to 4 x 3,000 word chapters.

And yes, like Simon, I want to finish 2019 knowing my writing has improved a lot over where it is now. Moving from short stories (yes, I know you're laughing EB) to full length novels is a challenge coz my plotting struggles, but I figure the KISS rule applies. I'm going for simple plots to start with and I'll take it from there.

Laughing? Yep, still laughing. Is that a chair I see, above me? Yes, that’s a chair :).

Goals... Hm, goals. I didn't start writing with enough ambition to have goals, let alone annual ones. I'd certainly like to write more stories but I don't really know how many. I'd like more followers and better scores, but I also want to care less about things like followers and scores. I'd like to be more involved in the community here, but my time constraints are not likely to change.

I guess my goal for 2019 is to take my writing seriously enough to have a goal for 2020. Does that count?

Most goals I evolve for 2019 are about medical recovery. Breathe, walk, see, hear, etc. For LIT? Maybe I'll write more, maybe not. I've no desire to explore all categories but it'll be good to get my mojo back and pen more twisted tales. Maybe I'll reach an O.Henry ending myself. There's Hypoxia Smurf, sliding down the razor-blade of life. It's been a wild ride.

My resolution is to actually finish one of my stories and publish my first story for lit here, or at least write enough that I can post several chapters of one of my stories on a regular schedule. My other resolution is to try to dedicate time to make consistent progress and practice on finishing my stories. That part will be easier since after new years, I'll actually have some free time to sit down and write, which I have not had for a long while.

Let us know when you have something published!
