Has anyone written for or had dealings with customerotica.com? I am intrigued despite the disappointing restrictions.
Are you sure that's the correct URL? Looks like a "splog" to me...

Yes, but if you look at the detailed description here, you'll see there's no mention of how much the writer gets.

Now THAT'S being vague. It's almost to say that if it's too low then why bother writing? Nobody's expecting to get like John Paul Getty with their smut, but dayum...just tell us the page rate!

Essentially take your time to do something good and don't complain about the rate you'll discover that's given to you IF you're chosen, yey?

I'd wager about $5...
I'm guessing about $0.02/word. Thats $100 for a 5000 word story. But these are custom stories written at the whim of the unwashed and ignorant. Sounds almost like a never-ending rewrite to me.

Well, I think they said, at least in the guidelines/submissions link:

PRODUCT RETAIL VALUE YOUR COMMISSION
Quickie $45 $2.25
1500-word story $135 $6.75
3000-word story $275 $13.75
5,000-word story $450 $22.50

No offence but - BLAH AND BLAH.

However, if you want to get your stories out there? It may be a great place to start. After all? If you do even one sample and one story thru them, why not make your name known through a website and get all that commission for yourself?

I can say that there are many other places to go to get paid, yet I have known of this site for a while and I think it is well respected. The commission might be low initially because they know you can do it on your own, but think of it like an advertising step and you'll probably do just fine.

Of course ... I prefer circulation stats.

Edit: For colour coding.

I glanced at some of what they called "filthy stories". I have written stories for some of my readers that are many times dirtier than them. "Karen's Birthday" is a six part example, and there are many other shorter works. "Annie's Neglected Pussy" comes to mind. I have never charged anybody a penny. Many of my first-person stories were written on that basis, such as Lotchie, Bianca, Lola, Barbara, and a lot of others.

:) Good for you Box and I wish you the best, but some of us are greedy and enjoy getting paid.

ha ha ha...I'm inclined to agree...

...but at the very least that's some good beer drankin' money at the tavern of choice...which could lead to more grist for the writer's mill, so to speak... :D

Well, I would like to make a few bucks also. :D I have, on some of the stories, but not as much as I would like.

Are these the amounts they are paying authors? If so, I agree. BLAH AND BLAH! I realize this is more than I make through Literotica, but it is less than I get from MVP Publishing, and I retain ownership of what I have written.

I wrote to them and asked what they paid their writers.

I just got this reply:

Hello, Matriarch:

Thank you for your inquiry. I pay my writers well and if you were being
considered as a staff writer, I'd be happy to disclose specifics to you.

In other words, we'll make up our minds when we've seen your work, and we don't have a set figure, we get away with as little as we can!

You could probably give them a link to your story index, and let them decide after reading samples of your work.
