What do you think would count as "Erotic"? Stories submitted have to have "Erotic" content.

Would just taunting such as, for example, quote: "How's his cock taste, Nicky?" That's a quote (possibly), from Angel in Darkness Episode III. Or would "erotic" have to be a full-on sex scene?

Because how I've planned out Angel in Darkness Episode III, there wouldn't be a sex scene, and I noticed when I try to wedge a sex scene in, it ends up crappy. There are sex scenes in episodes I & II, and also there will be a GOOD one in episode IV.

So, what qualifies as "Erotic" in your opinion?

IMHO, erotica does not require sex. One of my favorite stories is Shame Girl from a paperback collection of erotica stories called Slow Hand. In the story, the young woman is out swimming at night and a merman finds her. At least she thinks it is. There is brushing and a tiny bit of touching but no sex, not really even sexual touching, just sensual.

Having said that, you do need to make it very clear to your readers at the beginning that there is no sex in this episode if you are posting it on Lit., otherwise you're going to get low votes unless it's one of the categories that people would expect it. I would put an italicized preface at the beginning saying explicitly that there is no sex in this episode.

Good luck. :rose:

There is a Non-erotic category here at Lit, you know.

Good for you, Morgan!
I'm really impressed that you can tell what does and doesn't work for your story. :rose:

I've read stories where the chapter with no sex was the sexiest one-- because the characters are so aware of each other, so horny, and so frustrated by not being able to get to it. It's a favorite device in romance paperbacks, you know...

I don't like multi-part stories in seperate sections, if I used that, it'd be...

Episode I - Celebrities
Episode II - Celebrities
Episode III - Non-erotic
Episode IV - Celebrities
Episode V - Non-erotic

Thanks for the input, because it goes the same with episode five, it will most likely just be 'sensual', but then again, I'm still planning it out and stuff.

And this brings me to a new question. The story is divided into two story arcs with a 6 month gap, should I make the second story arc "Angel in Darkness 2" or just put them together, which would put the episode count as approximately ten or a few more.
