Erotic stories better than pornography?

Definately. Some of the best times I have had have been rubbing myself off to some off the stories around on the net. Porn on the other hand is boring to me, probably because I only watch lesbian stuff and it always seems staged and the people that produce and direct seem retarted in terms of placing the camera in the right spot. What does everyone else think?

Yes. To build on what Nessus said, erotica is more interactive in that reading is interactive ane one is sensually impacted by what they see as opposed to porn which is strictly sexual.

For me, erotica can be arousing, has beauty and yes, tickles the mind. Porn must get someone off, even if it isn't me! LOL

Of course, some people just can tell the difference between erotica and porn. I told someone once that I wrote erotic stories, and they blinked and replied, "What? you write porno!?" (growls)

I tried to explain my definition of the two... EROTICA has sexual themes and situations, but it usually has a plot, a story and characters that have depth, meaning and scope. PORN is just sex for sex's sake, with no meaningful plot other than "man/woman/other comibination" meet, screw, and that's that!

Also, erotica expresses feeling, textures, flavors, emotions, and such...everything that should trigger the mind and give you the ultimate sexual rush.

Am I wrong here, or did I pound the point home for a change?
