Erotic stories at Amazon?

Does anyone have any experience publishing erotica at Amazon or Kindle? Posting their stories at Amazon? Amazon states clearly that "We don't accept pornography or offensive depictions of graphic sexual acts" yet they clearly, or so I'm led to believe anyway, sell sexually explicit material through Kindle.

My apologies if this has been covered anywhere else here, but I simply couldn't find anything related to this.

Feel free to shoot me a PM if you'd like, I'd really like to know more about making money through collaborating with others, past and future, and creating erotic stories and offering them for sale at Amazon. :)

Yes you can. That 'rule' is a farce, but in place so they can just up and ban books anytime they want to.

There's also some restrictions they placed on it a few years back, but of course everyone is breaking the rules and they're fine with making money on it, but sooner or later you get caught.

So you're better off sacrificing sales but being able to stay on there and keep your account because once blocked its very tricky to be able to get back on.

If you have specific questions feel free to PM me. I'm happy to share what I've learned over there.

Self-publishing? No idea. But it’s how my publisher sells my stories. She’s mentioned that I shouldn’t go under 18, but whether that’s Amazon’s guideline or her own (I suspect Amazon’s), I got th3 impression she was trying to avoid negative attention from the site.

18+ is every for sale platform's one universal rule. Even the few sites that allow incest, full non con and even bestiality insist on over 18.

Amazon is deliberately vague with its rules so know one understands them and they can ban whenever and whatever they want siting the 'no porn rule' while having a site full of it. In other words its like lit with their 'we don't allow rape or underage' stories.

I've been able to figure most of them out, but its all but pointless to list them for the reason I just gave.

One thing is on covers there can't be any 'hand bras' if you don't know what that means its a woman can't be topless and covering her breasts with her hands or arms or another person's hands.

What if we has flat chests and itty bitty nipples? :D Being silly - I has seed the silliness of the rules and the arbitrary enforcement of them on Amazon. Won't comment on Lit's way of doing stuff cause hasn't figured it out yet (has only beed here about 5 years, with much of them just lurking due to the wars what has beed mentioned in nother places). Probly takes a few more years afore it makes sense.

I always wondered if the rule applied to men? Could you have a man's hand over another man's nipples....that's the question:D

"Yes, Amazon, that is a female torso, but I censored the nipples before I photoshopped hands over them, so it's okay!"

I remember hearing about a transgender lady who'd just started hormone therapy and decided to post a topless photo on Facebook every day, because she wanted to find the exact point where her breasts crossed the line between male (permitted) and female (forbidden).
