Inspiration really is where you find it. Yesterday I watched Roger Corman's, The Raven with Vincent Price and a terrific supporting cast. It's billed as a horror comedy, but it's just this goofy little film that tries hard to be one or the other but doesn't quite get there. But man if these was ever a movie in need of an erotic version. this is it.

Summary - Magician Erasmus Craven (Vincent Price) is still deeply depressed two years after the death of his beloved wife, Lenore (Hazel Court). One day, he's visited by Adolphus Bedlo (Peter Lorre), who has been transformed into a raven after losing a duel to Dr. Scarabus (Boris Karloff), an evil wizard. After Craven transforms Bedlo back into a human, Bedlo claims to have seen Lenore's ghost at Scarabus' castle, prompting the two to head to Scarabus' castle to seek Craven's lost love.

At its core, it's a jealousy and cheating wife story that was a lot of fun. I can't wait to take a crack at it.

ANYONE ELSE HAVE A FORGOTTEN FILM THAT WOULD BE A GREAT EROTIC FEATURE?

That’s tough for me cause usually I just go: “why ain’t these two fucking” (PROMARE. Yes, it’s homoerotic as fuck BUT Lio and Galo should have just boned) or “okay, this would be about better if it was gay cause the same sex friends got way more chemistry “ or “this should end in a three way (man from UNCLE remake).

Actually on that note, Cat People (the original not the remake) A common reading of the film is that Irena is actually gay. So what if we take the plot of it:

Condensed summation: Irena is a fashion designer from Serbia, she’s working in New York and a guY named Oliver marries her after only a short courtship. Irena cautions him that while she cares for him, she is terrified of being sexually aroused by a man and refuses to be intimate with him. Oliver accepts this but he’s more concerned about her not being open with him about her fears, especially the source of her fear of arousal, or why she doesn’t like to be seen by women from her part of Serbia.

Turns out her terror is because of an old curse: where she’s from, the women in olden times turned to witchcraft to survive a brutal occupation, when a “good” king arrived and stopped the occupation, he saw what the women did and slaughtered all but one of them, who ran off and created a line of women who turn into murderous panthers if they ever become aroused by a man (I assume they had kids either by forcing themselves on their suitors before they killed them or they just had really passionless sex)

Oliver has a secretary named Alice who falls hard for him and even attempts an affair with him but Oliver turns her down (surprisingly for a movie in 1942 she is not punished for this and when she and Oliver dow ind up together by the end they aren’t judged for it) this seemingly angers Irena and she stalks Alice while she’s swimming in a pool.

Eventually Irena confesses her fears to her psychiatrist who attempts to force himself on her while threatening to send her to an asylum if she doesn’t let him. She murders him and then goes into a panther enclosure at the zoo to commit suicide.

So what if we rewind to Irena stalking Alice? What if instead of anger she turned because she was turned on? Alice confides in Oliver and they confront Irena who mostly comes clean. Alice and Oliver then, taking precautions, slowly seduce her (taking care to deal with her transformation, which could be more anthropomorphic) and have a three way with Alice in the middle. Alice and Oliver then use their contacts to help find some lesbian women and Irena gets to live life as sexually satisfied panther lesbian while her ex husband but dear friend Oliver and his new wife Alice have a happy marriage

The upside of the erotic makeover is that we can make the necessary changes to allow for it. The challenge is doing it in such a way that the flavor and drama of the original film aren't lost. In my case, the rather corny nature of the film and the overacting and ridiculous dialogue.

Great movie! The prototypical horror-comedy. I saw it on Svengoolie very recently. I'm a sucker for any movie with Vincent Price in it, funny or not. Definitely fertile ground for an erotic makeover.

I remember some thread not long ago about books but obviously films are another candidate for erotic revisiting. Hasn't this also been discussed before though?

Anyway, both books and films of the horror genre are easy targets for adaptation. Much of Stephen King's output comes to mind.

All of which to one side, I personally would go for "erotification" of some standard stuff, which would confer the added benefit of being tongue-in-cheek and maybe even humorous. "Gone with the Wind"? "Star Wars"?

"The Wizard of Oz" might be fun...

Yes, those would be obvious. I was thinking more along the lines of older, more forgotten films. Since you mentioned Stephen King, how about the film Sleepwalkers? Heck, the story already features mom/son incest, it would just need to be taken a little further to go full porn.

Yes but is "porn" necessarily erotic?

That's a discussion I've yet to see laid out in any depth, although admittedly I haven't been coming on Lit. all that long.

It's a fair question. Porn is subjective. It is what the viewer/reader wants/needs. Most porn these days with a thirty-second intro before the sex, would not be erotic to me, just stimulating. But I really don't worry about such things. I write the stories that interest me and I'm here to chat about it. I leave the definitions and analysis to the gang in the AH.

Good point, although by "definitions and analysis" I take it you mean endless ego-tripping.

I have a humorous "Gone with the Wind" parody on this site. It's called Porn with the Wind.

The latest TV version of War and Peace is ripe for an erotic makeover. The brother and sister team, Anatole and Helene, are both hot as fuck and if there’s any doubt they are fucking in Tolstoys original, there ain’t in this version. Calum Turner who plays Anatole is one of the sexiest guys acting today. When he’s finished with his sister he pursues Natasha, played by the beautiful Lily James. The scene where he follows her into a closet to seduce her is already very erotic. And in the makeover he doesn’t just pursue her, but of course, they fuck in the closet amongst the fur coats and military uniforms. I’ve jerked off more than once imagining Calum fucking Lily.

The Dance of Reality:- one of the scenes fed into/inspired my fantasies alot. The son was afraid of the dark and cannot sleep, his mom's solution was to coat him black with shoe polish (full body), took off her clothes (full nude), and tell him he has become the monster, the darkness and must devour/defeat the white/light princess (the mon) in order to conquer his fear of the dark.. Turned off the lights and played a game of hide and seek in the dark with her son.. Once he caught his mom (the white/light princess) hiding, he "devoured" and "defeated" her by playfully wrestling, "mauling" and groping her all over while they danced together, until she is covered full body in the black paint as well. At which point his mom has "faded into the darkness with him", and he no longer fears the dark anymore.. It was a powerful scene.

The way I twisted it for my fantasies:- The Dad is a strict, taskmaster very stern, rude, authoritative and controlling. During his absence (maybe he goes to work or etc), Mom, who is a Cool Mom, felt bad for her son, devised a way to make it up to her son for all the suffocating life he has endured due to their parenting style and engaged in different forms of power reversal sex and sexual activities with her son, giving him authority, power and freedom over her (her representing all the parental and authority figure the son has had to endure) as a way for her son to act out any anger? or frustrarion he has developed since childhood due to his father's ways.
