I want to write an erotic story in the fantasy genre. I have no story ideas yet, but I've started developing the setting thus far. I'll summarize below, but a more detailed account can be found at this googleDoc:

The World of Xaharia

The setting would be classified under "high fantasy", as opposed to "dark fantasy". It will have lots of magic and wonder, not as much violence and darkness. And it will have copious amounts of sex.

There are three major races:

Humans
Ordinary humans. They have some magical powers, but not everyone is magic. They make up the bulk of the population, ruling the Six Kingdoms, and worshiping the Six Goddesses.

Wilders
The Wilders are mostly human, but they have a close spiritual bond with animals. In the lands around each human kingdom are the tribes of the Wilders. Each tribe has a different Animal Aspect. They are not human/animal hybrids. Rather, they are humans with animal qualities.

Nymphs
The Nymphs are magical beings, mostly humanoid in appearance, but with great magical powers. There are six main types of Nymph, each tied to one of the Six Elements.

The Six Kingdoms are each tied to a different one of the Six Goddesses, and the Six Elements.

Kingdom of Alazia: Fire - Goddess of Passion

Kingdom of Ereos: Air - Goddess of Beauty

Kingdom of Sephrys: Water - Goddess of Sensuality

Kingdom of Izhal: Nature - Goddess of Indulgence

Kingdom of Ravea: Light - Goddess of Bliss

Kingdom of Shasla: Shadow - Goddess of Desire

The link to the googleDoc contains more detailed information about each one, as well as some visual aids. Amidst a lot of magic and adventure, this Xaharia will be saturated with sex and debauchery.

So, feel free to browse the document, and tell me what you think. I'm open to new ideas, and possible stories that could be written. I'm open to sharing this world, so if you want to write your own story from it, run it past me, and I will be fine with that.

Here are some of the ideas I've got.

A simple background for a story could be someone traveling between the six kingdoms, seeking to study their ways. In each kingdom, they get to experience the height of each culture's sexual drive. Not a complex story, but a great way to showcase the world, and load up on sex.

Or what about the leader of one of these nations, a young prince or princess, needing to make alliances with the other kingdoms. And of course, what better form of diplomacy than orgy?

Or perhaps, I could write about someone from a human kingdom, who is anointed as a messenger from one of the Six Goddesses. They then have to go throughout the land, spreading the sexual teachings of their Goddess.

I like your kingdom. Frankly speaking I have been trying to set a plot somewhere between those lines. Though not for a story but for a manga series that I want to do. But I am not looking forward to a story limited to smut, rather I want to make a sensible series, where people do think of something other than sex too. Though pervert-ness will be a strong pole of the manga ..

As far as being more than just smut, I suppose my description definitely didn't give the idea that there was anything more to it than sex. I did intend, however, for there to be more to the world than that. People would still go on with their everyday lives and deal with everyday problems. Sexuality was just going to be very prominent in their society.

I'm open to collaboration. We should discuss this further.

So, after thinking about it and further developing the setting, I've gotten an idea for a story now. I wrote about it in detail on the linked googleDoc, but I'll summarize it here.

My description of the world is of its ideal state. This will not be the case in this story. The Six Kingdoms will have isolated themselves from each other, not wanting to interact, and not willing to embrace the "Sexual Virtues" of all of the Six Goddesses. This has weakened the power of the Six Goddesses, and it will continue to weaken them unless the Six Kingdoms can be reunited in a perfect state of Sexual Unity.

To make matters worse, as the Six Goddesses weaken, so does the magical barrier that they have placed between the Six Kingdoms, and the Northern Wastes, home to Gruund, a brutish race of half-giants. If the barrier fails because the Six Goddesses lose their power, the land of the Six Kingdoms is doomed.

This is where the story begins: A young lord from the Kingdom of Ravea (Light, Bliss), is stranded in the Kingdom of Shasla (Shadow, Desire) after his caravan is attacked by some form of monsters. Stranded and wounded, he is taken in by a young priestess from the Kingdom of Shasla. As she tends to his wounds, they develop feelings for each other, culminating in them making love. This is the first time that two people from different Kingdoms have had sex with each other in many years, and as such, attracts the attentions of their respective goddesses, the Goddess of Bliss and the Goddess of Desire.

The Goddesses explain to them the dire situation the Six Kingdoms are in, with the weakening of the barrier. The couple is anointed as Prophet and Prophetess, and charged with the task of spreading a message of Sexual Unity among the Six Kingdoms, and restoring faith in all of the Six Goddesses. Only through this can the magical barrier be maintained, and the land saved.

The story will then follow the Prophetic Couple as they journey throughout the Six Kingdoms, spreading the love of all of the Six Goddesses. Other characters will join their cause, forming a sort of fellowship. They will also encounter people and organizations who oppose them. It will be an erotic fantasy epic, of magic, adventure, and sex.

So, that's my idea. Thoughts? Criticism? Ideas?

I meant to read the google doc and comment on this thread when it was new, but I've been busy.

I was actually surprised when I read your idea because I'm developing a story with similar characters to your prophet and prophetess. So obviously, I think it has potential.

An idea I often find intriguing is where a seemingly minor anomaly is investigated, and turns out to be merely the early omens of a situation with major global repercussions. For example, perhaps one of the races of nymphs you mentioned suddenly begin to spurn people who wish to be their suitors, and no one knows why. It is later discovered that they have secretly allied themselves with a mage with grand ambitions of seizing one of the kingdoms' thrones. His plan is to keep the nymphs abstinant for a certain length of time, so that their unsatisfied urges compound, making them hyper-sexual and sending their pheromone secretions off the charts. When he's ready to make his move, the mage unleashes his nymph allies upon the kingdom's army, to overwhelm the soldiers' resolve with lust (and subsequently, exhaustion ), allowing him to overtake the palace without any real resistance.

This is only a loose idea, open to modification.

Another idea, one which might work well with your idea of reuniting the estranged kingdoms is to birth demigods between pairings of the goddesses to serve as the living symbols of their unity. Goddesses being the versatile beings they are, there are numerous ways that they could procreate with one another. Perhaps a lesbian encounter is capable of making them fall pregnant; perhaps one of them could momentarily transform into a male or hermaphrodite; perhaps they could possess a male and female mortal surrogate; or perhaps they could even transform themselves into plants and cross-pollinate.

However, the "rules" of godhood make it difficult for goddesses to have actual physical contact with one another. So the heroes' quest is to arrange the special circumstances that will allow the goddesses to meet and mate. This all builds up to a resolution where the entire world is ruled over by a council of 15 demigods - each the product of a unique union between two different goddesses, which ushers in a new age of peace and harmony.

I've gotten to work on figuring out the main characters of the story. Below are some short descriptions of their Appearance and Personality. I will be adding information about their background soon.
The first two, Alastair and Myriell, are the two heroes of the story, while the rest are supporting characters.

Alastair
Young Lord from the Kingdom of Ravea (Light, Bliss)

Appearance
Dark hair (unusual for a Ravean), grown out to just above his shoulders. His hair is generally unkempt in dashing/rugged sort of way. He has white skin, like all Raveans. His facial features are balanced between chiseled and smooth. His eyes are a brilliant green, radiating with intelligence. He is in good shape. Not a bodybuilder, but trim and fit. He often wears pristine, white formal clothing. Well-tailored suits, with all the trappings of Ravean nobility.

Personality
Alastair is a generally carefree individual. A life in the house of one of the Lords of Ravea has left him with little reason to worry. He takes lightly his position, entirely caught up in experiencing the finer things of life. A lover of art, literature, poetry, and dance, he has often neglected the political responsibilities he will someday inherit. He lacks the maturity to handle most serious situations.


Myriell
Young Priestess from the Kingdom of Shasla (Shadow, Desire)

Appearance
Dark hair, somewhere between black and violet. It falls down to her waist, and is full and wavy. Extremely fair skin, almost like porcelain. Her large eyes, a bright purple, are framed by dark lashes, in striking contrast to her skin. Her lips are full and pouty. Her body is in good shape, but soft and smooth. Her breasts are full, but not oversized. Topped with rosy pink nipples. She dresses in the simple attire of a Priestess of Shasla. Black, silken robes, with high side slits and a low, v-cut neckline, over a lacy black corset. Around her neck she wears a gold necklace with the emblem of the Goddess of Desire, set with a jet-black stone.

Personality
Timid and quiet, Myriell has the sort of personality that is often ignored. Perhaps it was her youth in the Temple of Shasla, and the solitude associated with it. She will rarely speak, or be actively involved in any conversation, but is always passively involved. She watches. She observes. She seeks to understand everyone around her, their motives, their passions, and their desires. Although she does not often speak, the soft words that do come from her mouth are often exactly what one needs to hear.


Devora
The Lioness; sexually dominant warrior, of the Kingdom of Alazia (Fire, Passion)

Appearance
Velvety black hair flows past her shoulders, framing a light-skinned face, with painted red lips. On her face, she frequently wears a confident smirk. Her features are fierce, to match her reputation. Her body is toned and fit, but her skin is still silky smooth. Her firm breasts are high on her chest, puffed up by her pride. She often wears the clothing of a warrior, hardened, form-fitting leathers, molded breastplate, and the bright red cloak that denotes her rank as a Crusader.

Personality
As with any Crusader of the Kingdom of Alazia, Devora is a fierce and confident woman. She has been nicknamed “The Lioness” by those warriors who follow her into battle, and rightly so. She speaks with a commanding voice, and inspires all those she commands. And she commands frequently. She likes to be in control of every situation, whether it be mundane, martial, or sexual.


Tierralyse
The Countess; voluptuous diva, from the Kingdom of Izhal (Nature, Indulgence)

Appearance
A full head of brown hair, flows gracefully past her waist, adorned with flowers and precious stones. Her soft skin, of an olive complexion, is adorned with make-up and body paints, and receives constant pampering. Her lips are full, her eyes sultry. Her body is voluptuous and curvy, boasting large breasts, that would make the most divine of pillows. She rarely wears actual clothing, preferring to be draped in a single silken cloth, and adorned with the finest of jewelry, and exotic flowers.

Personality
A lifetime of luxury has certainly made an imprint on Tierralyse’s personality. She wants for herself only the finest of things, and will rarely feel compelled to work for it. Any source of indulgence she can find, she will take, and she will relish the pleasure it brings. However, she is not entirely selfish, for as much as she likes to indulge in herself, she loves to know that those in her company are enjoying those luxuries as much as she is. She desires to surround herself with pleasure, and anyone who encounters her will benefit from that.


Fiona - The Spelldancer; dancer/sorceress from the Kingdom of Sephrys (Water, Sensuality)

Appearance
Long, emerald green hair, often done up in an elaborate topknot, flows around her body like a serpent. Her soft skin is tinged with blue, as with all of the Sephrysi people. She is very slim, and very flexible. Her long, dancer’s legs and delicate arms move with a sensual grace. Her almond shaped, green eyes are exotic and alluring. Her breasts are not large, but they are shapely, and very perky. Her ass is perfectly formed, soft and round. She does not often wear much in the way of clothing. Shimmering, translucent silks are draped across her body, and jeweled bangles tinkle as she dances.

Personality
Fiona is nothing if not a tease. She is extremely flirtatious, in an incredibly sultry way. To her, the thrill of the tease is almost as great as an orgasmic climax. She does all she can to appear both mysterious and outgoing, an inviting promise of pleasure to come, but perhaps just out of reach. Despite her flirtatious nature, however, she has a hard time opening up to those around her. There are a very few people who she has truly been close to. She longs for such intimate companionship, but in fear, masks her true character with sultry flirtations.


Tetsuke & Meisuko
The Twins; fair bro & sis from the Kingdom of Ereos (Air, Beauty)

Tetsuke - The Brother

Appearance
His appearance is immaculate. Long, jet-black hair, hangs past his shoulders. His fair skin looks as though it has not seen a day of work, and gets more attention and care than all but the most indulgent of Izhali princesses. His body is not muscular, but is slim and graceful. He often wears elaborate outfits, the pinnacle of fashion in the Kingdom of Ereos.

Personality
Though not of any exceptional noble blood, Tetsuke has worked his way into the upper ring of the Ereos social life. A master of charm, in word and deed, Tetsuke is wildly popular among the Ereos women. He delights in the attention the lavish upon him. Each and every woman he speaks with is led to believe that she is the center of his world. In truth, however, the only one at the center of his world is himself.


Meisuko - The Sister

Appearance
Meisuko is a picture of perfect beauty. Her skin is flawless white. Her jet-black hair long and sleek, flowing almost to her ankles, when she lets it down from her elegant styling. Her body is slim, and her breasts are neither too large nor too small. They are perfectly formed, and are the envy of the great princes of Ereos. She dresses in elegant gowns and robes, adorned with elaborate jewelry. Her every move is made with the grace of a goddess.

Personality
As popular as Tetsuko is with the women of Ereos, Meisuko is even more so with the men. Her whole life, she has seen no end to suitors. Every man in Ereos is charmed by her beauty and elegance, but none shall have her. Meisuko is like Tetsuke in a number of ways, but foremost among those is her interest in women. Meisuko believes that her beauty is paramount, and will only suffer the beauty of another woman to be with her.
