Erotic Adventure Stories?

I've had this idea for a while.

I would like to write a series that combines both sexually explicit erotica as well as good old fashioned action/adventure. Think Kill Bill or From Dusk Till Dawn, but with detailed sex included.

Would such a series find a home here?

The emphasis in the story would not only be on the sex, but on the plotline, violent action, and of course, the characters. Although, I suppose, it would help the story greatly to include a reason why the sex is included. Maybe something like a Temple of Doom story where an orgy is necessary to resurrect a dark god . . . or something like that. Make the sexual aspects of the tale necessary to its telling, in other words.

Any suggestions or comemnts? I would also appreciate some ideas as to the series itself.

sounds like fun to me. :)

I don't have any ideas to offer, though. My muse is sadly absent these days.

Mine are running 4+ at the moment so I'd say that some Lit readers enjoy adventure with their sex.

There's a market for it...Amichu is as influenced by Indiania Jones as it is by The Devil In Miss Jones...

Do you remember the old fantasy series Swords of Lankhmar by Fritz Leiber and Poul Anderson?

The two authors wrote them for a long time. the earlier stories were more allusive- later ones had more explicit sex. But there was sexual content in every story.

The very last book, entitled "The Knight and Knave of Swords" has a funny plotlet;
the two heroes have been cursed- one to yearn for the stars, the other to look into the little places. This, their enemies imagine, will make them unpopular with the ladies and thus miserable. But the one's star-gazing seems incredibly poetic, and the other one finds some lovely and sensitive little places to look into...

Actually, erotic adventure stories have been around for a long time. Mickey Spillane used to include some erotic parts in between Mike Hammer beating people up, and I have read other stories about spies, private eyes, etc. that had a lot of sex. Nothing explicit, but they probably would have that now.

Damn what memories

Stella, you just brought back some vivid memories of my youth. I loved Fafrd and the Grey Mouser! I always identified with 'Mouser of course, considering he was more than a bit shifty and skillful . . . .

And as for the mention of Mickey Spillane . . . Mike Hammer was one of my favorite shows, and I've read a few of the old pulp paperbacks. To be honest, I never liked Spillane's chauvinistic view of things, but the sexual undercurrent of his stories always kept things moving.

What I was thinking was something sort of like 'From Dusk Till Dawn.' I've been thinking of calling it On The Border Of Good And Evil, since it would take place in a Texas border town. The (or one of the) main characters would be one of those guys whose morality is in a grey area, and thus has to make a pivotal choice at some point during the story (thus the title). Beyond that, I have few ideas.

Damn it, where the hell's Erato? And her sisters?

Hmm . . . just had a thought for another story . . . 'Erato And Her Sisters'

Well, now, there's an interesting twist. Hmn . . . mountain town near El Paso, some real quirky people . . . a dark history or town secret the hero has to unravel . . . you've given me something to think about, Rach.

I love Stephen King - he does apocolyptic good versus evil so well. The Stand was/is one of my favourites of his.

I like the way his hero's are always flawed characters, who need a good kick up the arse to find their heroic feet amongst all the bloodshed and calamity. He tells a darned good story...

If you go deep enough into your proposed story, it would well become a novel ! :)

Same here

The Swords of Lankhmar stories were, besides one of the first "thud and blunder" series' that included women in any form. Women and girls are Important in those plots! After the womanless world of Conan, and the slave girls of Gor- and the Lord of The Rings, which included three women in a cast of thousands- Fritz Leiber was balm to my female-type soul...

'Womanless world of Conan?'

Surely you can't have forgotten red Sonja, or Belize . . . damn, now that was one hot mama . . .

Ok, Geek check!

(I failed)

Perhaps . . . I am already imagining a classic drifter type, although that may be too cliche, for my main character. One of those who questions everything around him, especially his own motives.

Such a hero, however, in searching for the truth, could easily be caught up in some very kinky and erotic scenarios . . . .

oh yeah... maybe he could find himself stranded at the Sisters of Mercy convent, shortly after the strange visitation by alien lifeforms that resulted in an outbreak of nymphomania! Perhaps our horny hero could save life, love and the entire human race from sexually voracious nuns... as well as doing some soul searching and getting laid in kinky ways.... mmm maybe i need to get myself to work before I go too far down that sordid road! ;)

You have a thing about nuns, don't you?

I wasn't quite thinking along those lines, more like, demon-possessed strippers or something of that nature.

But the 'getting laid in kinky ways' will definitely stay . . .

Hmm . . . maybe we should collaborate, Rach. You seem to complement my dirty little mind, after all.

Of course it's cliche- but it is, also- classic. And a drifter type will have so much scope for erotic adventure.

I did write one very short little vignette in that vein- a fan fic about Snake Plissken

You'll notice that I made Carjack Malone into a tranny- For which I owe Pam Greer an abject apology! But I did change the name a little...

Red Sonia, Belize? Damn, am I going to have to look up the books again?

Hmm, a drifter with a Snake Plisken style. I can just see it:

"So, what do you know about these murders, Mr. . . ?"

He took a pack of cigarettes from his jacket, slipped one out in a fluid motion, simultaneously snatching up a gleaming zippo from his jeans. The flame illuminated his face, making him look almost sinister as the end of the cigarette glowed at the flame's touch.

He flipped the lighter closed with a resounding ring of metal upon metal, and took the cigarette from his lips.

"Call me . . . Snake," he said in his dry voice . . . .

Another geek check . . . can't resist: In 'Escape From New York,' Kurt Russel finds himself in a diner with a slender, short-haired blonde woman who asks him for a cigarette, shortly before she is dragged through the floor by the 'mutants.'

Did you know that woman (can't remember her name) was Russel's first wife? They met on the set of that movie.

I thought Goldie Hawn was his first and only wife?

I like the demonic strippers - straight out of Dusk 'til Dawn - luring the dregs of humanity to their doom... Mwhahahah

Russel and Hawn have never been married, last I checked. Just 'blissfully unmarried' (in the words of Gene Simmons) since the late eighties.

You like demonic strippers? When are we going to collaborate?

Of course... they never married...derr! Its nice that they are still together tho, kinda sweet and certainly rare in the age of high profile divorces.

We can collaborate any time you like ;) PM me

Er, em . . . I'd love to, except Lit's telling me I have turned off my PM. I can't figure out how to turn it on!

Anybody help me?

Click on "User CP" (the link is in the upper left corner with the skin I'm using).

From there, click on "options" in the menu on the left.

Somewhere down that page is an option to "enable private messaging" - make sure that box is checked.

Voila'!

How about including a car chase?
A car chase with a naked woman straddling the driver- facing backwards- while he careens through the streets! It could start with them humping in the car...

geek note:
"Michael Douglas has been married twice. First to Diandra Luker, from whom he was divorced in 2000 after 23 years (she bore him a son, Cameron Morrell Douglas, in 1978). Then, to the delight of the tabloids, he wed Welsh actress Catherine Zeta Jones, who'd already given him a second son, Dylan Michael. He'd met Catherine at the Deauville Film Festival in France, in the summer of 1998. They got engaged in Aspen, Colorado on New Year's Eve, 1999."
So he got engaged first and then dumped the wife. That's juicy!
