erections: how long before it really hurts?

No, this isn't a size question . I'm asking how long can most men keep an erection before it starts to hurt bad? Hubby & I are considering some play for the weekend that would require him to stay hard or be disciplined rather harshly. Newbie jumping in here. I have done two hours before and suffered no ill effects. I may have been a little sore the next day from stimulation needed to maintain the erection but nothing from having an erection too long.

For anyone who doesn't know the reason why you are not supposed to go too long is because blood is trapped in the penis that doesn't get recycled out with new oxygen rich blood. There is some blood coming/going or you couldn't have an erection past 20 mins (tissue death). It is like trying to move people on/off a crowded bus. I would stick with the four hour max period. I am not sure how long you would have to wait after four hours before you could raise the sail again. Maybe checking out a Viagra disclaimer would tell? My best guess would be a good ten or twenty minutes to be safe.

Also, per Lance, distinguish a tied-off prick from a 'naturally erect' one. I do not think that tying off anything (breast, testicle, prick) for more than a half hour, is safe.

Let me modify my remarks a little, a long the line of Phoenix, and NCS.

I think a naturally occurring erection would not be a problem for a couple hours, with a few seconds waxing and waning. I.e., there's sexual stimulation (visual, touching, etc.., including cropping) causing it.

I think a good 'fluffer' should be able to accomplish that, as well, as a nubile close-dance partner.

My particular concern was 'tying off' (so the thing goes blue and cold) or getting a metal ring embedded and stuck for hours. Body parts get injured that way.
