I finally got myself an epilator, and I love it. If I stretch the skin just right, it removes leg hairs without any pain at all.

The same doesn't hold true for other areas though. Armpits and pubic hair are both extremely painful, despite being able to remove the latter painlessly with tweezers. Does anyone have any tips for epilating without pain?

Hair in these areas rarely grow in the same direction, which can make removal through epilation painful. Also, the hair in this area tends to be thicker and more deeply embedded in the skin.

Taking anti-inflammatory before (about 30 minutes) can help to numb the pain, as is numbing the area with some ice (although this isn't recommended for the potential of receiving an electrical shock). Make sure you remove the hair in the direction it grows.

However, you make wish to look into waxing for your pubic and underarms. It's quick, relatively painless (okay, for me) and the results lasts for weeks. Just a thought.

Good luck :rose:
