EPA to reduce gas drilling pollution

The Obama administration is issuing the first-ever standards to control air pollution from gas wells that are drilled using a method called hydraulic fracturing, or fracking.

But the administration, which has strongly backed natural gas drilling, made significant concessions to the oil and gas industry.

Not new. CO and WY both have similar regulations in place and the gas producers find the sales revenue from the recovered gas exceeds the cost of the recovery equipment. Sounds like a win/win.

Actually the gas recovery rules create jobs. People manufacturing the equipment for it. People installing it. People operating and maintaining it.
