The question is not what lead does to the system. The question is how much of it really gets into the systems of wild game, I say damn little. First off lead is one of the heaviest of metals, it doesn't sit on the surface of the muck at the bottom of a lake or water source, like gold it sinks and vibrates it way down to hard clay or bedrock. I have found lead in my gold pan many times, but you find it under heavy black sand, not on the surface where ducks and geese feed. That is an extrapolation dreamed up by leftists in their ongoing efforts at back door gun control and anti-hunting agendas.

Mercury has to be coaxed out of the rocks. Once it has been it is highly mobile and highly toxic. Lead is a naturally occurring substance that is not highly mobile. It stays put. Like a lead weight. Dumbass.
