Enemas

I recently bought an enema kit from the drug store and would like to start using it regularly. The first time I used it I made a mess all over my bathroom! Then during anal sex, the bits of leftover water made for some leakage that was both unexpected and, well, not very attractive.

What am I doing wrong? Can anyone offer some suggestions? Should I be doing some sort of enema training?

Not sure....what solution did you use? Usually warm water with some salt added is best to help replace lost body salts which can result in dizziness, nausea, etc. Some other mixes, can result in loss of control, lengthy emptying over a period of time, pain. How long before sex did you do it? Is usually adviseable to do it at least a couple of hours before sex to give your body time to empty completely and settle back to some type of normalacy. There aer some good threads here with links to sites giving tips etc. Will see if I can find some of them for you.

When I do the enema thing, I do it (like Catalina suggests) at least a coupla hours before I expect any company. Which 1) gives me time to make sure it's out of my body and 2) allows for bathroom clean-up time. Even if the only mess is puddles of clean water from my trips between bathtub and toilet, it's still something I tend to wrinkle my nose at.

And have you tried the Three-Enema series? As I understand it, if you use enema solution in the first one, then rinse twice with clear (or saline) water, you should have a fairly good flush.

I do that fairly frequently, and have never achieved absolutely clear water, but it always feels nice afterwards, so I'm not complaining.

So... Luvinit, are you into the sensation side of enemas as well as the hygienic aspects?

adding salt to an enema won't replace salts in the body. if that's the goal replace them orally.

salt in an enema will create an osmotic effect and draw water out of the body and into the colon.

as nemo says, a series may be required, till you run clear. you might try starting with moderate amt, then increasing.

later 'accidents' or 'embarrassments' come from incomplete emptying, and you should learn to recognize that (i.e., some part of you feels full, or far less has emerged than went in).

then, as nemo says, give it some time, preferably on your feet, walking around a bit, till the last amt comes down.

as a last bit of 'insurance,' to check emptiness, you might apply a dil for a bit and see if that looses anything. if not, you're clean. you can see this is sort of a 'dry run' (that may not be so dry).

I should have mentioned sea salt is probably best, as using regular table salt can in some cases have negative effects for some people, though for me it has not been so and vastly improved on the days when no salt was added. As to it not working to replace body salts, on the contrary it is advised as a safety measure for those regularly using enemas as a means to replace electrolytes and help prevent huge loss of electrolytes in the blood stream by minimising absorption of excess water by the colon which can cause swelling of the colon and depletion of electrolytes. The colon is highly absorbant, hence the inadvisability of using alcohol in enemas (can cause alcohol poisoning and death), and as such does absorb electrolytes into the body quicker this way than orally. From what I have read, Fleet actually include sodium in their enema solutions for the same reason.

This 3 page article on enemas is great in that it covers safety and how to tips (also people who should not use an enema without medical advice or supervision dues to health conditions).Enema Safety and Info

I also came across these:

Enema Wisdom

Health and Yoga

All these recommend using sea salt or salt in enemas to replace electrolytes as do many others I came across from both lay people and health professionals on health and medical sites.

Maybe if you don't mind not being fully cleansed, using less water might make it less messy faster. At an adult store we purchased an "anal cleanser", which is just a rubber bulb with a nozzle but the bulb doesn't hold too much. I think the idea being that it just cleans the area closest to the exit.

What do porn stars do?

Seems I remember hearing something about this also... like having a Vodka enema. Story goes that the alcohol is absorbed more readily in the lower intestine since it bypasses the stomach/liver route.

Hell, I'm a biology student... I'll have to find someone at school to ask about this!

Point taken, but is there no way to get drunk and not get dead?

Probably has a LOT to do with the amount and concentration of alcohol involved... just PLEASE do the research before sticking an bottle of Bacardi 151 Rum inside yourself!!! lol :D

No problem there. I always research. Also, this is one of those, I'd have to be "forced" areas of interest.

Wine will get you drunker than a skunk real fast. It doesn't take a lot. A pint of cheap port and pow!!!
Start easy if you want to try this.

Errrrm back in the 'good old days' .....not that that long ago actually.... I was able to administer Diazepam rectally via a modified vein infusion set ( ie needle had been removed) to a person who was experiencing seizures ( due to Cerebral Injury from asphyxia ) that extended past the 5min mark to avoid further hypoxia related brain injury.

It only took a single ampule.

I am not a scientist so I cannot be certain how the two really compare . This concept of 'alcohol in enemas' concerns me . Lets just call it an 'intuition' that its something not to be 'toyed' with. If your drinking you can throw up or limit yourself at a certain point and have some 'control'. As this is absorbed through tissue I have no idea how anyone could go about halting life threatening possible outcomes.

Heh and you wonder why I get all antsy over 'breath play' huh huh........promise to be a 'good girl' and stay away from those Threads next time one is active.

Many chemicals, including alcohol, are absorbed easily into the bloodstream when inserted into anus. Thats why suppositories work. Trying it with booze sounds like a good way to get severe alcohol poisoning though, I wouldn't try it.

On a similar note, I knew a girl back in high school who said her b/f used to drop acid then eat her out, and they would both feel the effects. she was really strange.

Hmm, I would not be taking the advice here of trying a bottle of vodka. One good point made elsewhere is why would you think it safe to give a full bottle of alcohol in an enema if you wouldn't think it safe or possible for the body to digest it by normal means in the same time? Common sense is a good thing to have. If using wine it is usually recommended it be diluted, and strong spirits never used. Anyway, apart from links I have already supplied, there are these:

Thinking about how drunk I got on wine- really falling down, uncoordinated, blitzed: I don't think I would recommend any form of alcohol in an enema. I never repeated the experience. My one try was something like 30 years ago and not something that I want to repeat. I think that something like vodka could be VERY DANGEROUS. :(

As I said, if I were really planning on an enema of any kind. I'd research it first and then it would have to be "forced." I don't currently have anyone in my life that wants to force that or play with enemas so it's not a issue at present but that doesn't mean they aren't in my fantasies at times, then again, what isn't in my fantasies? *L*

This thread leads me to believe I should put a warning in my impending story about girls that take beer bongs in the butt.

I think the best advice for a newbie enema user is - start small. Work your way up as needed. I usually do just 1/3 of the water bottle. Then maybe another small swish if needed. I never use anything but plain old luke warm water. I thought the whole salt thing was just if you were doing enemas every day?

No way I would use vodka. Try a little diluted beer or wine first, and see how fast and hard that hits you. I think the Jay Wiseman link Cat listed earlier is a good reference.

Believe me, that diluted wine hits much faster and harder than drinking it, definitely possible to kill someone with a highball enema.
