AUTHOR'S NOTE: I hate WINTER!
Summer has ended here in the Mid-Atlantic US. The mornings are cold, the leaves are turning, and it get's dark WAY too early. And those things are only going to get worse.
I am starting a series here called Endless Summer, where my main character, Scott Hunter, will be trying to find a place in his mind where summer doesn't end, even if the signs are all around him that autumn and winter will have their time.
The role plays will be presented in a series of Episodes. Episode One will be The Beach House, where Scott, through a series of fortunate events, finds an available place to wait out the fall and winter, courtesy of a lovely lady named Ashley Turner.
Later episodes will call on the talents of other role play writers that I invite. I would LOVE to hear feedback on what transpires...good and bad. The sex will be plentiful and upfront, but I do hope to present stories of my characters' growth and discovery.
If you like fall and winter - and I know you folks are out there- read along anyway and enjoy. If you're like me, and Summer is your time, then I hope you enjoy this little escape I'm providing over the next coming months.
In Episode One, Ashley will be played by Sinful Whispers.
Rock On!
Endless Summer - Episode One: The Beach House
Scott Hunter had pretty much missed the summer. It was April when a tanker truck driver, working on hour number 23, decided to change lanes on the freeway. no big deal, except he changed inot the lane Scott occupied at the time. Scott's Chevy Trailblazer went off the road and rolled about five times.
Scott's neck took the worst of it, and two months of hosptialization and another month of physical therapy had brought him along. But it had cost him two things very dear to him: his chance to write his novel, and the summer.
Scott had sumbitted an outline for his book to Outlandish Publications and had a deal for its publication. His deal fell through when his injuries prevented him from writing. Scott was hoping to work on a new deal with a new publisher, but that would take time and work.
Scott had also missed the summer. it had always been his favorite time of year. Being in the hospital and getting treatment had taken that from him. He loved tanned skin (especially the female variety) swimsuits, flip flops, the smell of tanning oil. He loved how the warmth enveloped you. But most of all, he enjoyed the pace of life in the summer, the lack of anxiety, the chance that summer gave you to enjoy life.
He now found himself having to recreate that. He was in Pacific City, looking for a place to live and work on his book deal. Pacific City was a tourist place mostly, and the town was shutting down. He was hoping he could find a nice quiet place to write, and think of warm relaxing times.
As he made his way along the beach on this afternoon, he saw a place that would have been perfect. But it seemed to be unavaliable just as he saw it...a woman was out front putting boards on the windows, no doubt preparing to shutter the place for the season.
All of a sudden, Scott felt a gust of wind come along, and that same wind took hold of the board the woman was handling, causing her to lose her balance, knocking her off her feet. Without another thought, Scott ran to help her.
