I would like some advice on how to encourage comments for my stories. My ambition is to become a better author, and I figure that to become a better author is through comments from the reader. Yet how can I become a better author when the comments are so few and far between? Maybe my stories are just too boring to be commented on? So I’m begging for advice/help in the hopes of all my efforts on this site one day leading to becoming a published author.

Thank you!

Happy belated birthday.

You've been busy over the last few years. A link to your stories in your sig would be useful.

I've gotten more since I started asking for them. I put a request at the beginning of each story. Others put the request at the end. It's up to you which end you put it at thoguh.

A comment at the beginning is more likely to get a response. Not everyone reads to the end. :D

Ah, but a comment at the end will remind those who have, and have forgotten about the original comment (I'm arguing against myself here ;) ).

Maybe both is the way to go?
