Emerald Kitten out of action - please note

Just received texts from Kitten, and had a phone conversation with her.

Her comp got hit by lightning last night, right on the phone connection box on the outside of the house. Blew out all the power in her room only, and as she had her hands on the keyboard, made the hairs on her arms stand up, and on her head. Close call.

I'm very pleased to hear she's ok. She's going to get the comp checked out today, to see if the damage is repairable, and to see if her hard drive has been wrecked or is recoverable.

Meanwhile, she's out of action. I'll be happy to pass on any and all messages, just post 'em in here.

She's more concerned that she might have lost everything on the hard drive. I told her to take it to the comp shop and get them to check it out. Until she's done that, she won't know what the damage is.

Just received a text, a friend is loaning Kitten her comp to get back on line. What's happened to the hard drive etc., I have no idea. I'm sure she'll be back in here creating mayhem very soon.

The bad news is that that computer is fried.
The good news is that it was still under warranty.

The thing that bothers me the most, is that the last 4-generation picture featuring my great-grandma was on that damn computer.
Everything else I can live with.

I'm on now because I have a kind hearted ex-boyfriend that let me borrow his laptop.

Yay!

If pop ups would go away, and it would stop kickin me off, lol, we'd be in business.
