It was a nice sultry evening here in the Bayou City. Mysterious figures had gathered in a semi circle outside of the local hobby store, you notice a few hushed whisperings and a few fearful glances in your direction. What's their problem?

It's you my friend. Your not supposed to be here....you've got no one to teach you, no one to protect you if something should happen. Just little Orphan Annie dumped on the doorstep of the Haven, Into the jaws of death itself. A sixteen year-old mortal inside the very heart of Vampire society. There is no escape.

The real question is how did whoever brought you here find Us. Next is the question why, and of course what shall we do with you?

Storytelling....

Come join me and listen to the story I have building in my mind? :)

the Elder speaks...

" Who dares come before the Haven, seeking shelter?! It's outrageous that anyone from the Outside learn of our Haven! How did you ever find this place??"

You step up nervously and look at the pale marble face of the Elder....
"....I..I... am Caellah.......*nervous squeak* The One who made me has left me in your care....I do not know his name..."

With a snarl the Elder pushes you with his mind back against the front window of the hobby shop. You tremble and then drop silently to the ground....
[in a more controlled and less condeming voice]
" I've seen this sort of thing before....a child comes to us abandoned by her sire and left for our care...It's lucky Slice found her with his Other Sight when she went to get some RP material....Little does she know this is no RP!" <Laughter echos in the dark musky alley>

Slice reaches forward and grabs you by the hair and drags you into his black Camero's trunk.

I tried a larp once. Couldn't achieve that willing suspension of disbelief. Strange, 'cause I do like good, escapist fantasy fiction.

I think it might've helped if I'd gone to a big one, like Darkon, with padded weapons 'n all. But although the physical atmosphere was nice out on waikiki beach at night, the mental atmosphere just wasn't pulling together for me.
