Embarassment, Humiliation, Degradation

Here's a chance for exhibitionists to crow about what they enjoy, voyeurs to cackle over the results, the defiant to unveil all, and the puritanical to not take part.

There's an implied progression in the words in the Subject line, which I see as this:

Embarassment - usually minor, momentary social gaffes and blunders, usually involving something technical or impersonal. To forget someone's name in conversation, or mispronounce it, is embarassing, but not personally humiliating. Easily shrugged off.

Humiliation - social discomfiture with a personal twist, embarassment raised to potentially long-term discomfort. Usually involves an overly intimate revelation, some misstep that suggests serious inadequacy, or greatly raised stakes (if the person whose name you mispronounced is your potential employer, and you know your resume is shaky, embarassment might easily turn into humiliation).

Degradation - a deliberate attempt at seriously reducing the personal worth of another. Misuse and mistreatment with malice aforethought, callous disregard, extreme objectification.

All of the above can have erotic powerplay overtones and applications. Such as...
