I was learning to drive a clutch car when I heard...

He was cool, but I don't have any velvet paintings of him.

Thin Elvis or Fat Elvis?

Before the Army, or after?

I hear people speak differently of him depending on the "Elvis Timeline"

as far as his cool factor goes...... he could have been worse, but he did help out Memphis quite a bit though.

Older (never got old), Black-haired, tamed, post-Army, Movie Star, Kung-fu fighting, Caped Super Elvis,

Still cool, but not nearly as cool.

I didnt know who he was till way after he died.

I was 5 and kindergarten was all new and exciting.

The drugged out, fat, sweaty Elvis is the coolest. I am sure that is what the FBI thought after the Nixon meeting.

I was a mother of a 2 1/2 month old baby living in the swelters of Georgia (don't ever go there in August unless you have a death wish) when I heard. We had tickets to his upcoming concert he never made it to.

(I'd already learned to drive a clutch the year before)

The King is dead, yet all the impersonators live on...

All hail the king. Young or old, fat or skinny... he was always Elvis.
