We were dying, with our long life times, calm nature and spending time devoted to meditation had killed not only our passion for life but for each other. Fertility was at an all time low, and the elders had cast a spell of recognition. Such that when one fertile elf met another of opposite sex that was compatible there would be a tingle of recognition.

I snuck along the underbrush, I wasn't sure if I was looking forward to recognition or not. Several elves waited their whole life for that special someone. I was tired of waiting, and hitting the century mark had just made me more determined. I was hunting a hunter, not the easiest thing.
I wasn't sure if he was elven or human, humans were capricious creatures with more passion than sense. I finally caught up with him. He was bathing in a secluded pool of water. I snuck to a better vantage point and enjoyed the view.

Thildemar:

Flinging his hair back, letting the long mane of it tangle down along his back, Thildemar opened his eyes. His back was to the stranger but his slim, tappered ears seemed to perk up with awareness. Looking closer, it could be seen that Wolf's teeth had been braided into a few select strands of his hair, the gleaming whiteness of them and the light grey of his hair seemed to flow together. Turning with his eyes lowered, Thildemar looked up at this stranger. They were a deep blue but there was a sharp edge to the way he stared. A predator's glare.

Ildar was tracking a band of rogues who had stolen from his village. Ildemar, the Retriever, they called him. His violent human nature was reflected in the spear and sword and other weapons. He was actuaslly about the best tracker that the humans could really offer. So, when he saw the footprint, he ran to it. There was perfume scent of a woman. Looked like an elven hunter. She might have some infotmation about these rogues. His mission wasn't to kill the rogues anyway. all he was to do was to bring back the stolen goods. So he began to follow the tracks.

I felt his eyes upon my hiding spot, noting the small features that marked him as elven I slide out of my hiding spot and casually said, "Nice day for a swim, isn't it?"

Ildar watched them throught the trees, perfectly hidden. A male and female elf hunter. "Might be interesting", he thought to himself. Just in case, though, he unsheathed his broad sword.

OOC: I'm gonna go ahead and jump in if I make a mistake or something please just let me know please and I will change it

IC: Athena sat on a tree limb relaxing and just listening to the songs of birds. She liked to come here when she was frustrated or upset. Lately she had been lonely, she longed for a life mate but none seemed to be found. She was drifting into sleep when she heard a slight noise, she glance down and noticed a human standing not to far from the tree she was in, as in Elf she was very wary of humans. She tensed up bringing herself into a crouching position and changing her breathing so it matched that of the human so that he wouldn't notice her. She closed her eyes a moment to calm down and warily though somewhat curiously she watched the humans actions.

Thildemar:

Moving through the water quickly, his eyes still harshly regarding the female at the waters edge as he retreated to his bundled possesions. "Nice... Quite." He agreed. He Pulled himself from the water, his back to the female. His legs flexed as he planted a foot upon the bank. Kneeling down he took hold of his leather cloths. He seemed to take no notice of his nakedness, save for keeping his back to the female as he dressed.

Athena began to grow bored just watching the human after a few minutes. Her curiousity had grown to a high intensity. She had to know who he was. Carefully and quietly she dropped to the ground landing on the balls of her feet to prevent much noise. The human continued his back facing her as she stood there watching him. Finally working up the courage she approached him. "Hello" she said softly the wind blowing her auburn hair slightly. Her emerald colored eyes regarded the human looking him over. 'he is quite handsome' Athena thought to herself, out loud she said "Why are you here?" then realizing how rude that was she blushed and said "What I mean is that is there something I may help you with". Her eyes met his and she trembled inside while she awaited a reply.

Merlie was a half breed. Half-human, half-elfin, and not readily accepted by either race. Her parents had been very much in love, but that didn't seem to matter much to society. She and her older brother Dannar, had learned to expect nothing, ask for nothing, and make the best of what little they had. She grown up a little wild and untamed, but that only served her surviving in an intolerant world. She was yet to meet a man or woman she could not out fight, out track, out smart, or out hunt. Something she was quite proud of.

Leading her horse to the pool to drink, she picked up on two males, and two females but cared little for their business, paying attention more out of force of habit then curiosity.

Mind if i join?

OOC: mind if i join? if i make a mistake plz tell me :)

IC: Van is a young rebellious teenage half-elf. When he was a baby his parents were killed, and he was raised all hsi life by fairies. Whne he reached the age of 12 he set out to find his own ppl, and find his way in the world. He is a very acrobatic rogue, and does little of following rules. He'd rather dodge around, and trick his opponents instead of going into an all-out fight. He has been known to take a few coins from un-wary travellers, but he always wil treat them to a show, and recieve payment (even if they are unaware). Since he raised by fairies, he has the uncanny ability of basic fairy spells, whcih are nothin more then party favors, to distract people, while he steals a few coins.

Hiding under, a pile of leaves, he watches and sees events unfold. He spots people in the tres, and thinks to himself...

"hmmmm.... those people are catching lots of interest... this looks like it could get interesting..."

Then grinning to himself, he hides back under the leaves and grass.

Melinara

I tip my head to the side my eyes dancing over his trim form. "We seem to have drawn some unwanted attention." I nod in direction of the human, and elven woman. he shrugs and points out the half elven women.

"I guess I was distracted," I say my lips slightly twisting around the words. I had spent time among humans and wondered what the hunter wanted.

"Are you here to visit the Quarnesti elves?" I asked my long dark hair twined in a braid down my back, my slender form covered in hunting jerkin and leather breeches.

(so far so good everybody)

Thildemar:

"I would consider him to be a peeping tom..." Thildemar hissed as he snuffed the air in disgust. He pulled on the rest of his cloths quickly and held a short sword to his side, his knuckles going white with his tight grip.

"Excuse me for a second, Mi'Lady", said Ildar. He walked out of the trees. "I am Ildar, a human hunter. My village was robbed by a group of rogues. I was here to ask if you knew anything about them or where they went? And then, I saw you were having a private moment, I decided to turn around and wait for you to be done. Then I turn around, and there is an elven woman there. And now, there is a little fairy watching all of us", he said, pointing to the fairy's hiding place.

Merlie

Merlie overheard the hunters words. There was little her pointy ears didn't hear, but when he made mantion of the bandits, she paid closer attention.

She shook her head in thought. So the bastards were at it again huh? She knew Rodric and his band all to well, and since they were the only bandits in the region, it could be no other. She contemplated telling the hunter where to find them, after all, she owed Rodric and his men nothing, but they owed her a great deal and she meant to have payment before anyother got their hands on them. She looked again at the hunter. Damn humans, she owed them nothing either.

The elfin man was worthy of a second look, standing there unabashed, dressing at his leasure. Sighing, she pushed all ideas of him away. What interest whould he have in a half breed like her when he had a full blood right before him?

She bent to fill her water bag now that the horse had quenched it's thirst. The water was indeed inviting, but bathing with such an audiance what not her idea of fun. Perhaps she would return later, perhaps not.

Fastening the water bag to the saddle, she mounted and left. The affairs of people such as these had nothing to do with her. All she need worry about now was finding shelter for the night, and catching some dinner.

Melinara:

"we are a peaceful people, unlike humans," I try to say the word without a hint of disdain. "Bandits find our homes too hard to find. We don't travel as much as we used to and usually then it's singly. Which is too small of a group for bandits to deal with." I look at the elven male and tip my head.

"Have you spotted these bandits?" I take note of where he pointed out the fairy, who was too large to actually be a fairy. I also noted the woman who had filled her water bags and left.

OOC I deliberately didn't see fairy boy as he had magical cover I thought. Which makes the human seeing him when I didn't odd. Anyway I'll go with it since he pointed him out.

Athena continued to watch the human awaiting a reply when he turned back around and spoke to someone else. She craned her neck to see around him and noticed another elven woman and male, hunters to be exact. Bothered by his total disregard of her presence she frowned "Hello? Am I intruding upon something?"

Thildemar:

His eyes going thin with obvious distrust, Thildemar held his blade up between his body and Illdar's. He stepped between Illar and Melinara with a whispery growl of warning. His eyes shown just as wild as a wolves and the teeth in his hair clacked together, sounding something like a rattle snake. Taking his eyes off the human who had been so bold as to state himself to be a hunter for only a second, Thildemar regarded all the others that had invaded the ponds circle. His lip twitched as he looked between Athena and Merlie.

Finding a betetr hidng place...

OOC: Not a fairy :p, just a guy who wwas rasied by fairies ;), so im sneakiy ;). and no one was sposed to see me yet! :p

OOC: Sorry, I read wrong. And Lady Siren, I did tell you that I would be back in a second.

IC: Ildar unsheathed his sword. "I believe that you are too agressive for your own good, elf", he said. Ildar knew very well that humans were far superior in close range combat and elves were far superior in ranged comabt. But if this elf had a suicide wish, Ildar couldn't deny him.

Athena looked at Thildemar curiously when she saw the sword drawn and the way he showed such distrust even to her she frowned and walked up to where she was side by side with the human. "Oh do quit looking at me like that please, I am a fellow elf I'm not about to attack you, besides I'm unarmed" She said shrugging slightly. She then glanced at the human, then she sighed softly 'men are such hot heads' she thought to herself. She looked to the human " May I ask your name?"

Thildemar:

"Seeing as you have invaded upon our ground, I would say you are the one showing aggression, human." Thildemar growled as he stood his ground solidly. "I am simply seeing to my home, and those in its circle.

Melinara:

I shook my head and slinked off to let the hot heads deal with their aggression. The last thing I wanted was some Macho contest.

Thsi could be fun...

Watching from his secret hiding spot, He girns to himself...
"This coudl be interetsing.... humans and their weapons.. always wanting to fight...w ell maybe i should change theirr attitude a lil bit..."

He goes searching into his pack for sumthign.. finally he pulls out a small vile filled w/ sum kind of powder..

OOC: dun worry anyone, its not sumthgin that will make u lovy-dovy or sumthing :) just a lil "spice" *grin*

"Your home? Don't make me laugh. My village is less than a mile west of here", he chuckled. "Oh, and by the way. I am named Ildar, Mi'Lady", he said courtously.

Thildemar:

With a huff Thildemar turned away from the human in disgust, he knew he was being overt in his charges but couldn't help but to show contempt to humans and their ilk. He followed after Melinara slowly, wordlessly.
