As Ariadne neared the water, she began to strip off her leather halter and undo her interlacing belts and pouches. It was a hot day and although she had strayed from the elven village against the elders' wishes, she did not care: she had to bathe in the lake.

Easing off her skirt and boots, she stood naked for a moment contemplating the water. Her waist length strawberry blonde hair gleamed, and her green eyes sparkled as she contemplated its coolness. Without a sound, she leaped into the water and came up with a gasp. The water was so cold.

Ariadne's slight body moved through the water and her nipples puckered from the cold. She was so immersed in the pleasureable feelings she was having, that she did nto hear the sound of someone approaching

Thildemar:

Walking slowly from the southwood path that his family called home Thildemar caught sight of his younger sister, Ariadne. He was a good seventeen decades her elder. He to was of sleek build. He wore his silver hair at shoulder length, several wolves teeth woven into a number of thin braids that he wore longer and let drop over the front of his shoulders. They swayed with every step he took sometimes clicking quietly together. Completely unnoticed, or was she ignoring him, he knelt down at the edge of the lake and ran his fingers through the water. He took a scoop of water up in his hand, sipping the chill liquid.

Suddenly agitated by his sisters silence Thildemar spoke. "Why do you ignore me sister? Do you blame me for your betrothel? Father is gone, it was my duty to the family to see that our bloodline does not die. You cannot fault me for this can you?"

Her silence was all the answer Thildemar needed. He stood, his emerald green eye's staring down at her. "I did not want it to come to this little sister..." With a motion of his hand, seven of his fellow elves showed themselves. Each carried a bow and quiver full of arrows.
"You will be wedded tonight, or you will be dead..."
A visible sadness showed behind his eyes but the steel set of his jaw showed he favored his duty to elves as a whole over his sisters life.

Ariadne:

Ariadne turned and glared at Thildemar. Moving out the water and not even bothering to hide her nakedness in her fury, she growled,"I will wed your choice, brother. But I refuse to rejoice in it. In fact,"she emphasized with a stamp of her foot, small firm breasts swaying in the motion,"I will despise Undar until I die! It's not my fault I'm one of the few fertile females and I shouldn't be punished for it"

Moving past him, she grabbed her clothes and began to journey off away from him and the village. "Don't follow me, brother,"she called,"I'm not running away, I just need to be alone. I'll be back in time for the wedding."

With that, she turned on her heel and headed, unbeknowedstly, towards the troll encampment...

Thildemar:

In his heart Thildemar felt an ever increasing amount of pain and guilt for sloughing off HIS duty to wed on his sister. But it was his right as her elder to pass it down to her. He just had to make sure that Undar and Ariadne's union bore fruit. Once that was done, he would be off the hook, so to speak. Atleast for another century or so...

He watched her walk off seeming to never notice her nakedness. Turning to one of the archers he nodded his head in the direction his sister had gone. "Follow her, but at a distance. Do not reveil yourself unless she gets into mischief... Or danger."

The archer nods and quickly takes to the trees.

Thildemar returns to the southwood path to give word to his elders, and hopefully persuade Undar and his men to wait for Ariadne to return.

Ariadne:

Ariadne walked for awhile, never bothering to pull her clothes on. Her situation was frustrating in so many ways.
First, Undar was not who she would have chosen for herself. He was a boor, always pawing at the elven women and trying to force himself on them. More than one elf had complained to her brother that Undar had taken his sister/wife/mother/daughter and sometimes by force! But he was fertile, which was why she was about to be wed to him. Not all elves were fertile. With such long life spans, many outlived their fertility and so, those judged to be, had to breed with each other, despite any personal qualms.

Second, she was fertile and it brought so many difficulties with it! Like now, she thought crossly, dropping her clothes. It was like she became an animal in heat, needing to relieve herself or else she'd go mad. Just the thought of touching herself made her nipples swell and harden and her breasts ache. She moaned as her fingers trailed against them, down her flat belly and grazed the top of her mound. She just neede relief then!

With that she fell onto the ground, onto her back, and began to move her fingers in and out of her increasingly wet pussy. Her other hand pinched and careessed her breasts. Within moments, she was oblivious to all her surroundings except for the relief she was getting...

Rose Thorn:

Orphaned at the age of two she became a street rat and theif with a weird code of honor because of her teacher, a known theif named Thorn, who took her under his wing but later died in a bar brawl.

She is apparently half elf and most of the magic she knows is self-taught. She recovered a magician's purse (he just looked like a poor old man) and was granted a favor. He told her she would find answers in the elf villiage two days away. She hopes to find out about her parents, or at least a teacher.

***

Rose sighed in relief as the elf villiage finally came into sight. She had been walking most of the night and day , and was exhausted.

She headed towards the south path after being told by a passing woman that the elders were the best place to start.

Giamond:

Giamond, the elf Thildemar had sent to watch over Ariadne bounded from tree to tree. It was not difficult to find the girl, what with her nature as it was. Kneeling down on the branch of a tree thirty feet distant from her he watched, and longed for the time he had felt such driving hunger as she. If his time had not come so early for him he would have gladly stepped in and challenged Undar for her hand. He would have suited her well... Better then Undar at any rate.

But all he could do now is lament times long lost and watch Ariadne work her carnal magic on herself. an hour passed and still she lay amongst the tall grass, pleasing herself. "Insatiable." Giamond thought to himself with a smile. "That or she is wise enough to know the longer she holds off from sweet release the more rewarding her prize."

Thildemar:

The elders hut, that was formed from a great oak tree, was in view now as Thildemar continued a steady pace. He saw a girl, speaking to one of the villigers. She was pointed toward the elders hut as well.

The two of them made it to the hut at the same time and came face to face. Thildemar did not speak. He sniffed the air as though he was scenting her, the wolves teeth in his hair clattered together with the slightest motion of his head, his eyes closed to mere slits as he focused wholely on her features. "You are part human. you have no buisness here. This woods is sacred and not to be fouled by your kind." Thildemar hissed in warning.

Rose:

Rose sighed at the elves' tone. No matter where she went, she was never good enough. Because she was a theif, because she was half elf, because she was half human...

"Why don't we let the elders decide that, huh?" she said calmly, pulling on her coldest face.

Thildemar:

Setting his jaw into a hard line Thildemar squinted his eyes even tighter together. Finally he broke his distrusting glare and turned his back to her, stepping into the hut. "Come then, we shall see." He said, his tone just as cold as Rose's expression had been.

Rose:

Rose sighed and followed the elf. Well, that was a wonderful first impression....

Despite the cold welcome she felt a little more relaxed here. Interesting. Then her whole upbringing had been weird. She wondered if this elf represented the majority. Were half-breeds hated here? She sighed and decided to deal with that when she came to it. She was used to being hated after all...

Thildemar:

Stepping forward and kneeling before the elders that sat in wooden seats formed for the living oak that they called home. "Elders... Ariadne is well, she simply needs some time to collect herself. She WILL be wedded to Undar as promised."

"Stand, child of southwood." Said one of the elders. Rose saw Thildemar twitch his lip in a snarl for just an instant at that. "Where is your sister now?" A second elder asked of him. "She is just outside the boundries of the village, elders. I have made sure she will be well. Giamond is her guardian as we speak."

The asking elder nods then lifts his eyes toward Rose. She feels a sudden flush come to her cheeks as the elders eyes seem to pierce the veil of her flesh and leave her soul standing in its place, starkly naked before them all.

"And this one? Of our blood... Yet... Distant..." Said the elder, still holding her in his stare.

"Half blood. Half human..." Thildemar said as he glanced over at her. A strange half smile, half scowl flashed across his lips. A moment later he faced his elders once more. Their eyes locked on him now. He stepped back from them, lowering his own eyes to the ground.

"Peace child..." This time rose watched Thildemar and sure enough she saw him twinge at his title. "Half or not, she still carry's our blood... Take her to shelter and make her welcome. Go now." The elders, finished with him bowed their heads and seemed to go into a trance.

Nothing left for him to say, Thildemar took hold of Rose's elbow, at first a little roughly, his grip eased almost instantly. "Come..." He said, his tone that of defeat.

I blinked as I was led away by...the elf. Who ever he was.

"Listen," I started. "I'm sorry. I just came here to find out who the hell my parents are. I was on the streets as long as I remember and a few days ago this magician I helped said I'd find answers here. I'll do that. Be on my way."

Thildemar:

"Did you not hear the elders? You ARE of OUR blood... You cannot leave..." Knowing enough about the mortal mind Thildemar felt compeled to add to his coment, knowing, to her, "You cannot leave..." would be precieved as a threat.

"The elders have extended their hospitality to you, you now OWN a home here, in southwood." A moment later the two of them stood before another oak tree, reformed into a hut.

Thildemar let loose of Rose's elbow and walked up to the huts door, opening it for her.

"You're kidding..." Rose said walking in the hut hesitantly. She'd never had a home in her entire life. She'd also been taught things came at a price.

"What's the catch?"

Thildemar:

Thildemar hesitated for just a moment but that was enough for Rose's mood to darken. "You deserve to know... Our race as a whole is dying... We cannot afford to have sexual daliances with mortals in our one season of fertility... One of your parents was one of us... And did as such. That parent must be brought before the elders to pay for their transgressions..."

Rose closed her eyes trying contain a suddenly all consuming hopelessness.

"Fuck..." she snarled. The shadows moved with her anger, destroying a chair. Her parent would never want to meet her now. God, no wonder they had deserted her. She reformed the chair and slumped into it glaring at Thildemar.

"After that, how the hell am I supposed to search for them?"

Thildemar:

Visibly put off by Rose's unexpected display of magic Thildemar hesitated again, this time a hint of fear showed on his face, the teeth in his hair clicking together with his surprise. "I... Know not... But... As I said, it is your blood given right to stay here and to know your elven parent... For who they are." Thildemar said, bitterness on his lips.

"Right? What will they do with them. If they are found?" The shadows moved with her irratation.

"It's not fair...I mean it's just not fair. I've spent the last twenty one years of exsistance wanting to know them and now if I do they'll get punished..." The shadows moved again, curling around her as though in comfort.

Thildemar:

"Two..." Thildemar thought to himself. "So limited mortals are in their philosophies of time..." If he knew how to cry a tear would have been running down his right cheek by now. He was begining to see Rose as he did his own sister, only... There was something untoucheable about her. Some level of her that he just didn't comprehend... Was it her mortality? Or was it something deeper... Something even the elders could not realize...

Rose

Rose glared at his silence. So she wasn't good enoght to speak to?

"Listen, I don't know what your problem is...But the least you can do is talk back when I speak..."

"I.. I am sorry... Its just that to us you would be no more than a two year old babe, by your own reckoning..." Thildemar sighed. "Too young to be recognized by the elders as the one claiming her elven parent..."

Rose

"Two? What are you talking about? How old ARE you?" Rose sounded confused.

Thildemar:

"Nearly three hundred of your years..." Thildemar said, matter of factly. "What is your name? I appologize for not asking sooner..." He smiled broadly for just a moment. "I know such things are as important to your kind as mine..."
