I have just got back from seeing Elton John live at the NEC in Birmingham England.
He hit the stage at 8pm and performed solid through to 10.40pm singing a good mixture of old songs and new tracks from the "Songs from the West Coast " album.
He had the whole audience rocking right from the start with "Funeral for a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding" followed closely by "Benny an The Jets" and then had everyone singing along to the likes of "Daniel" "Philadelphia Freedom" and "Rocket Man" to name but a few.
The new tracks were sung fantastically well and it was quite obvious that Elton and the Band were really enjoying themselves.
To round the night off they did "Pinball Wizard", Elton mentioning the sad passing of John Entwhistle and then dedicating "Dont Let The Sun Go Down On Me" to him and then finally finishing off with "Your Song".
A FANTASTIC night out (5th time I have seen him live) and I'm sure he was better than ever. If you get the chance go and see him.
