I love Christmas music, and I was getting a head start on downloading some of my favorites when I came across a rendition sung by Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan. I've never heard this song sung by two females (or two males, for that matter), and seems something of an anomaly. It's a great version, performed by two talented females, but does anyone happen to know the history behind this version? Hearing this made me as happy as an Alex/Olivia worshiper witnessing the first kiss.

Thoughts? History buffs? Theories?

I am such an idiot. The congestion has gone to my head. The song I found sung by Ella and Sarah was "Baby It's Cold Outside"

Sorry....

It is quite smokin' and seemed ahead of its time. I can't seem to find any history regarding the collaboration, and I'm dying to know how it came about.

According to a brief look at You Tube, I suspect there were several of these collaborations round 1979.

Any idea how I can post a link or a file extension or whatever it's called so that I can post my downloaded version of the song here?

Try this:

Identify the site of interest, highlight the name and press Copy (or Control C).
Open a "Reply to Thread".

Slightly to the right of the "text colour" and below the smiley face there's a round think (the world). Click on that.
now, erase the existing HTTP thing in the box and make sure your cursor is there.
Press Ctrl V
The site name should now be seen in the box.

Press "Enter"

close the Reply to Thread.

it should work.

Good Luck.
