Yes, and I understand more or less why her case got so much attention - the bigger they come, the harder they fall, and she was huge - but the whole thing is just dripping with privilege. Including the prison she ended up at. It is a prison and as such is not a very nice place to be - nor should it be - but if you do have to go to prison, this is the one you'd want to go to. I wonder how many hundreds of thousands of women convicted of non-violent offenses have ended up in much, much worse environs because they're from more modest backgrounds and their stories didn't capture the public's attention.
