Daniel Miranda’s first class of the semester was actually a night class on Mondays. Night classes were hard for him to make it to, because he really liked doing anything else in his evenings. This time, though, he was going to show up for his first class. He really was! The problem started when he walked by this table where this absolutely gorgeous brunette was trying to sign people up for something. He didn’t even look at what it was.

“Hi there. I’m Daniel. What’s your name? Any open spots in your club? I’ve always been passionate about…”

He looks at the banner hanging from the table. “Feminism.”

He’s pretty sure he covers his gaffe with a winning smile. That smile usually worked for him in the past, anyway.

Amilia Kerrigan had spent most rof the day organizing the room for Feminist club and then gathering signatures she didnt take classes until later that day so she figured getting morr members would always be great.

Most of rhe people coming over seemed interested in joining most because they knew who her father
was , the other half to her suprise had really been interested. She had just given a new member a club pin when she saw this guy approaching the table, he was handsome she had to admit but she couldnt help but chuckle hearing him mention he wanted to join the club when she knew he had really be interested in either her or the women of rhe club.

She looked up and said " Really? Ok so what are your views on equal wages for women here in the state of Texas?" She said and raised her eyebrow. She did admit that smile of his was killer and she saw his face when shd asked the question amd couldnt help but laugh.

" Ok , I see i tripped you up with that one, im Vice president of the feminist club and My name Amilia, There are always spots open in the club, were in room 765 in fhe Olivette Wing of the campus." She sajd and handed him the clipboard " Just sign your name and information here for me"she said wanting to see if he was serious

Daniel was impressed. Amilia was smart, as well as beautiful. He didn’t know anything about feminist issues, and beyond a vague pro-equality stance he didn’t really know what his opinions were. Were wages not equal? That sounded like it should be illegal already, right?

It did seem like she was just messing with him, but she let him off the hook with a disarming laugh. He signed his information without hesitation, and leaned an elbow on the table. “So, Amilia? That’s a beautiful name. Is there anything you need help with? You know, for the club?”

Amilia smirked, it was obvious Daniel had been flirting with her and she glanced at the boz of flier beneath the table, she still had so much to do before the first meeting and the president of the club hadn’t even gotten back from England.

“You could help me and some of the members hand out flyers today? I’ll be staying a little later? or you can start handing some out right now here with me?”she said and tucked her hair behind her ear.

Daniel smiled again. “How about both? I’ll get to spend time with a beautiful girl and help out a great cause? I’m in.”

He wasn’t going to make it to that class.

He handed out flyers, and most of the students seemed receptive enough to at least take a flyer, even if they weren’t ready to join the club. He was able to see Amilia keep the tasks and people organized. She just kept impressing him. It may have had something to do with the way the setting sun shone through her light brown hair.

“Yeah, it’s really important to work toward equality,” Daniel said to one of the students that accepted a flyer from him. He wasn’t really thinking about what that meant, but he agreed with it in principle at least. More importantly, it sounded good. He caught Amilia smiling at him and he flashed his pearly whites in return.

Amilia couldn’t help but smile , she knew he had no clue what he was talking about , but the effort he put in was amazing and sweet. She handed out fliers as well as collected signatures with him and once she had the list full she decided they could stop for the day and head to the club room for meeting setup .

“I’m going to grab something to eat and head to the meeting room.. are you still interested in helping out? I don’t want to ask too much because I can’t totally finish things” she said not wanting to spend too clingy or needy, she was head of the feminist club of course

Daniel was so happy that he hadn’t blown it yet. Hearing the passion and intelligence in Amilia’s voice as she’d explained what the club was about was making him fall for her. Hell, it was making him want to be a feminist, whatever that meant.

Maybe there was also another way to endear himself to her. “Of course I want to help! I’m hungry, too, though. Can I buy you dinner?”

Amelia smiled and glanced down at her phone for a second, part of her thought to reject his offer because she didnt know him at all but the other part of her thought he was really making an effort and he was sweet.

"Ok, sure dinner sounds good, i hope you dont mind ordering in and having it here on campus?"

Daniel was so glad he hadn’t blown it yet. “Of course, on one condition: you have to tell me what you like.”

Daniel raised his hands to head off any objections. “You’re welcome to choose, but I’m not asking you to. I just want to know what you like.”

Amelia chuckled " Ok Deal, but dinners on you... knowing what I like is classified information" she teased

She began packing things up with the help of Daniel which she was thankful for and the two of them made their way over to the huge feminist club room.

She unnlocked the door and opened it looking at Daniels reaction to the room and smirked. Feminist club had one of the biggest rooms on campus and i helped a bitnthat the school knew her father was a famous actor and politician.

"Well...what do you think?"

“Wow! This is cool! Are all of these books...feminist books?” Did that sound stupid?

He walked around the room and ran a finger down the spines of some books. The room was huge. He and Amilia sat down to eat together. It was pleasant. She was a really nice person, and she seemed to be enjoying herself after Daniel had gotten her to tell him her favorite restaurant.

Afterward, he was just manual labor, putting chairs and tables wherever Amilia told him to, thankful for the opportunity to show off his strength. “So, are you the speaker for the meeting? Is that how it works?”
