I am looking for a lady to help me with the female frame of reference. The place and time period are Edwardian England. A time immediately after the very proper Victorian Era.

The working title is "The Hunting Lodge". The story begins:

The train pulls into the station and on exiting you are greeted by a light snowfall. As you search and finally find your luggage, a well-dressed man approaches you and says, “I am Farnsworth, Miss,” he tips his hat, “His lordship asked me to meet you. Please follow me to the automobile.” He makes a few hand motions and your luggage is picked up and deposited in the back of large automobile while at the same time he opens a rear door for you to enter. After a few moments, he sits in the front passenger seat and motions to the chauffeur. After leaving the station and the adjacent small village, the vehicle cuts a path through the newly fallen snow until you arrive at large house surrounded by light woods.
Farnsworth opens in turn both the vehicle and the house doors. “Your things will be seen to. May I take your coat?” After taking your coat, he guides you to a large door, which he opens. Entering you find yourself in a large room dominated by a blazing hearth on the far side. On either side of the hearth, there are large, over-stuffed, leather chairs. In front, the skin of a large bear covers the floor. As your eyes sweep the room, you spot a long sidetable laden with food and drink. I approach you and you......

Mhhh - sounds nice....

.. if you haven't gotten any responses yet you could go and try again on the Editors Forum.

If you need only a few hints or such feel free to contact me - I can't give you too much assistance though at this stage 'cause I am a little pressed for time, but the offer stands of course.

I myself very much like those stories set in the past and am looking forward to reading your work once it is done.
