Edits are not showing up.

I wrote a story a few weeks ago and wanted to edit it so I resubmitted it with "EDITED" in the title. It took a couple of weeks and when it was finally posted it was the original, unedited, story. I tried again, this time adding a note to the editor explaining what happened. I waited a few days then contacted the site with another explanation. The story was published the next day but, again, it was the original one and not the edited version. Has anyone ever had this happen or do you know how I can get the new, edited, version published?

Are you sure you are submitting the edited text? Try cut and pasting the whole file into the submissions box, Preview, then Submit. As I understand it, Laurel deletes the old content and drops in the new.

I submitted an edited version of my story on May 3, also with the word 'EDITED' added at the end. However, I discovered more tense issues (due to English being my second language - but I do pick them up eventually) and added two minor plot twists (which may marginally improve the story line) after the submission so it didn't bother me that the initial update wasn't published.
I finally decided to resubmit the second update with 'EDITED 2'suffix and sent an email to submissions to explain the situation only to have both submissions 'REMOVED' later in the day and without any update or explanation - may be the same issue as yours. I keep track of versions in the file name so I definitely submitted the updated versions.
I subsequently sent the update to the original editor who questioned the value of the update (see my post at 'Authors Hangout') and will reconsider the way forward once I get feedback.
Hope your problem gets sorted - I'll wait patiently...
