The one I just submitted for editing was 7,182 and I had already knocked 6 pages off of it.

The previous version came in at 11,164.

I am NOT breaking it into chapters. It just wouldn't work.

I was just running the numbers on your story, and you seem to have a lot of "white space". That must be a lot of dialogue. I like dialogue. Have you found an editor yet?

Yes, there is a lot of dialogue. I seem to be moving in that direction. I have two volunteers who are currently looking the piece over.
