Editor Problem

I took-over as editor for a few stories, & was just notified of some new threads. However, all I can seem to do is edit the threads, & not approve/deny. So I'm curious what ways there are (if any) to shorten the list of approved writers/change how someone becomes approved... For people that were approved by "the old guard".

At the bottom of the edit page, there should also be Approve Yes/No radio buttons. If you could show me a screen shot, I can figure out what's wrong.

As for changing contributor's statuses (from Trusted or Sub-Editor back to Writer), go to the Story list (top of the page navbar), find your story, click on View Writers. Then click on Edit Role. Pick the role.

I've had some weirdness, too. The last couple of days I've been posting from a different computer, so maybe that's what's causing it.

The first odd thing is that I've been getting "A new addition to your thread" e-mails for my own posts. This hasn't happened before, not even for stories that I'm trusted on, like this one was.

Another thing is that the My Home page shows me as "writer" for the two stories that I am the editor of. I would think this is a log in problem, but the page correctly shows me as trusted for the stories that I am trusted on.

Aha.

A little known fact: logins on Chyoo.com are strange. My user ID is 'Torg', but another user ID, 'torg', with the same password, has different rights and is considered a separate user id. So if 'Torg' is editor of a story, 'torg' is considered just a writer.

Be sure to login as our capitalized user ID, and you'll have no issues.

Thanks, capitalizing the b for boy fixed my problem. The insane part is that only the editor privileges changed, everything else was exactly the same.

A weird one I get on my Home Page is it'll say I have "0" Threads to approve, but if I click on the "0", I get a list of 1-3.

That's a bug when you adopt stories. Apparently, what ever code generates the numeral '0' isn't checking the Editor but the Creator. Only threads in stories you've created show up on that page. The link still takes you to a page with all of them.
