I'm a newbie to lit and am working on my first story. I need an editor and someone to kind of guide me through what I'm writing. Help!

You may want to give some information on the genre, length of story, and type of editing you're looking for (some only want technical stuff e.g. spelling/grammar, some want advice on characterisation etc as well).

Well since I'm new probably an overview.....I'm writing out a story that's more of a fantasy about,a stranger ravishing a woman.

I know there's a learning curve, but you either know what you're writing or you don't. You might want to write your first draft, fix it up as best you can (especially as regards punctuation, etc.) and then ask for an editor or beta reader. Then you can bounce ideas off them, etc.

Well I know what I'm writing about. It's more of do I go he she names or write it from a certain perspective type questions.

But that's the kind of thing you need to decide for yourself. No POV is better than another. It's your story -- you have to figure out the best way to write it.

Edited to add: What you're asking are really basic questions. Perhaps you need more of a mentor, even, than an editor. But to me, if you can't decide whether to name your characters, then it doesn't sound like you're really ready to write a story.

Some people write without names b/c they think that will enable the reader to put themselves more easily in that character's place. However, not every reader will like that, for various reasons. The feedback I've seen on such stories indicates people prefer some basic character development, including names. That doesn't mean you need to name your characters, but this might be the reaction you get from some readers.

As for perspective, that's a little easier, in that you could try writing it in one perspective, like first-person and if that doesn't work or you aren't sure, write it again in third-person. I can say again, that based on feedback I've seen, people do not like the "you" construction, where "I" say what happens to "you."

But no one can tell if you should do this. There's no right way to do it. You want names, put in names; if not, don't. But that's up to you as the writer. An editor or beta reader is supposed to help with mechanical errors, or plot/character issues as you request, but they can't tell you how to write the story.

Also in need of an editor

I write primarily Nonconcent, Loving Wives stories and need an editor. Lost the previous ones. Hope someone reaches out. Thanks.

Kudos on the OP's AV

Zenescope comics Grimm Fairy Tales #1 if I am not mistaken or one of the variant editions of it.

I hope your stories don't contain the same obvious spelling errors as your post does. I'm an editor. PM me. Willing as long as the stories are 3-6k words long. Don't need any huge projects as I also like to write my own.
