I am looking for an editor that could help me with my story. It's been awhile since I last took any English or Grammar classes and I could use some assistance in that area. I'm also looking for someone who's not afraid to shoot down any sentences or even paragraphs if that's what's needed in order to shape this story into what I'm looking for.
Depending on how this story does, I have a couple other ideas floating through my brain. Genres in the future would be more romance as well as SciFi or possible fantasy. Below is my opening paragraph. The story is still very much a work in progress. PM or reply and I can fill you in on the outline and direction I have planned. Thanks!

Despite the passage of time, I remember it like it was yesterday. Every vivid moment of it is indelibly burned into memory. No facial expression, no sound, and no touch is too trivial that I do not remember it. I can remember what socks you wore and I can still smell the shampoo you used. Lilac. It was always your favorite and it quickly became mine as well. Had I an artistic bent I would have painted you a masterpiece in memory of that day. I would sing to you about it had I a voice and lyrical bent. But my voice and hand are comically insufficient to the task of capturing the beauty of that day. I can tell stories; that is my gift. Though my storytelling still fails to do it justice, it comes closest to capturing what that day and more importantly what you mean to me. What transpired that fateful day changed everything between us; a fact I’m eternally grateful for.
