I know, I know. But formatted like it is, three paragraphs in the snippet would have amounted to about three lines of dialogue. I dimly remembered reading something about "give the editor a good impression of your story", and that's what I intended to do. It was the shortest coherent piece I could pull out. Well, I hope someone steps forward without it.
