Editor help

Hello,

I'm looking for an editor for a story before I post here. Not really sure how to start the process. Key points:

Story is ~20,000 words.
Contains tentacle demon and lesbian scenes.
Would like to post up by end of summer.

Any advice is appreciated.

'End by summer' - that sounds like there is more than just to look over grammar and punctuation - or are you still writing the story? Would be nice to hear what specific part(s) of editing you need.

The story is at a natural stopping point. I've left the possibility of continuation in, but I feel it's a good 'part one' in the story line.

The timeline is merely a statement of intent. I'd like to get the story posted by August. If I can do it sooner, great.

Editing focus:
Does the story make sense?
Is there a good flow?
Are there elements missing?

Most of my writing experience is expository in nature, so I'm comfortable on the grammar and spelling, but I'm still working on my creative prose.
