I would appreciate help on grammar, sentence structure, paragraphing and tense. I'm quite confident about my spelling but have still ran it through a spell check. I am more than happy to take any other creative criticism you're willing to offer.

Just over 6000 words.

Written in OpenOffice. I can put in notepad, Wordpad or an email.

I'm not in any real rush but haven't posted a story for about a year so I am eager to get something up again.

I intend this to be a couple of chapters/parts but am happy to leave it at one if need be.
