When you say you're particular, what precisely do you mean?

I agree, I was reading that and I couldn't make sense of it. To be particular about something would mean to like one thing more than the rest. Ie. "I like to eat meat, but I'm particular to steak." Perhaps not a great example, but c'est la vie. Anyhow, what I mean is that the way you phrase it, to me, makes it sound like you could either particularly like those kinks, or be particularly adverse to them. So just so that people know what kind of work to send you, try rephrasing that part.
