Editing published story.

Good morning,

I need to edit a published story, but the process is a really convoluted and difficult.

Some parts of the faq state you have to resub it under the same name with a preffix ( this method just gets reject the whole time)

I have emailed support.

I have dm'd persons I have found through the faq, but frustratingly I cannot get hold of someone that can do an edit to a published story. Even if I get confirmation someone can do it!

"You cannot edit Published stories. Please contact support if you need help. Thank you."

Who is this person I need to talk to?

The only other alternative is to remove it because I do not have a way to fix it, and go through the whole resubmission process, but it seems like a stupid way to be forced to do something that should be much less painfull to implement.

To edit a story:

Resubmit the complete revised text with exactly the same title plus the word EDIT, add a Note to the Editor, submit it, and then wait a week or two.

That is how it's done. It's really very, very simple.

The moral of course, is get the first version right so you don't waste everybody's time, including your own.

Looking for help, not your self praise about your perfection.

I have followed the FAQ about how to edit and submitted twice as described in subsequent submissions. Both edits were altered and wrote a note to the editors as well, detailing the changes and reasons. This happened in succession after the first submisson was returned as below.

Both got returned as this in my control panel activity.

Submitted story
You have successfully submitted a story
Submission is removed
(Date)

Is there an explanation behind submission removed, or is it a blanket term for a problem?
