Editing and embellishing stroies written by others?

Just curious if anyone else out there edits and embellishes stories written by others?

I've done this with several stories, but haven't (and wouldn't) re-post online as my own work.
I edit them, save them....andsometimes edit them even further.
There are some stories that are quite good on their own, but might veer off into a different direction than I'd expected.
I've done this with a few 'expatdad/Africa' stories, as well as incest stories, IR/hotwife stories, as well as cuckold dad stories.

Standard edits:
I make the daughters younger, with larger breasts, inexperienced but eager to 'learn'.
Dads are always cuckolded....by son, grandpa, black dude..
Wife is always hot, happy to cuck dad, talks about how the son, grandpa, black dude fucks much better than him.
Wife suggests Dad move into guest-room so son, grandpa, black dude can move in to master bedroom.
Black male/female almost always takes control of white family, who submit with slight reluctance at first.

Have started writing my own stuff, but find myself going back again and again, constantly tweaking.

Define what you mean by embellish. For example, would you include telling the author he or she needs to introduce the charactes better and giving the author a sample of how that might be done?

If you write it for yourself, go ahead. It might become a problem if you publish it though.

About your own writing: don't tweak. Write something and finish it, then submit it for publication. Don't worry about it being perfect: no story is ever perfect, least of all in the writer's eyes.

But finishing stories is a habit. Once you reach that point, you'll find it easier and easier to get there again.

I disagree. The best writing is rewriting.

It depends on whether you want to write a story with plot and character or a stroker.

The only time I would contact an author would be to tell him/her that I like their work.
Don't know that I would tell an author 'You should have done this....' or 'You should have made this character act differently....'

Embellishing/tweaking:
I'd just steer the story into a different direction...temporarily.
It really depends on how I'm 'reacting' to what I'm reading.
But it is never done with the intent to re-publish as my own.
It's mostly for my own enjoyment.

But I took the seduction of the grandaughter (by the grandfather) and really fleshed it out......no pun intended.
