Edited version of a story

Followed the FAQ for how to resubmit an edited version of a story. All was going well when suddenly it was approved then removed, and the original is still there. Any assistance would be marvellous.

The changes don't appear immediately, because the site is cached for quicker loading.

Typically, the changes start appearing right around the 24 hour mark after the editing submission vanishes. It can take as much as 48 hours, and can happen earlier, but 24 hours seems to be the average.

Also note that not all the changes may happen at the same time. Page 1 may update, while page 2 remains the old version briefly, etc.
