Edit Profile button not working

Hi. I've been around phpbb long enough to know how things work, so this issue with editing my profile surprises me.

1. After logging into the forum, I select User CP. This takes me to my control panel and shows the New Subscribed Threads page by default. Great.
2. From the navbar list of links on the left, I select Edit Profile.
3. Strangely, this takes me to the Edit Email & Password page, as if I've selected the button above it.

I'm no HTML God, but I looked at the source, and they appear to be set up correctly - both links pass different HTML parameters. Yet they both take me to the same place, leaving me with no way to edit my profile.

I'm using Safari on current MacOS. Thanks for any help.

But I did learn the following:

You can update you member profile and put a link in your signature block, or simply put the information in the signature block.

I think they mean the one on the Story side of the site.
