I need to change one word in a story which has already been posted and live. How? I sent a message to "contact us" with no reply. Is there any way to edit a submission after it's live? (I made a mistake on the name of the person I thanked for editing! Need to change Doug to Don ASAP! Anyone ever found a way to do this?)

As described in the FAQ, submit the story for publication again, the whole text with the correction applied. Add 'EDITED' to the title and for better understanding give a short reason in the input field 'Note to Admin'. Then, wait. "ASAP" will mean a few days.

I wouldn't bother. Add a comment to the story, apologising for the mistake and attribute your editor correctly. You can submit an edit, but as 29words notes, it takes time - 5 to 8 days is typical.
