Eddie Money Died today.

Yea, from complications from a heart valve that was installed some months back.

I met him several years ago after a performance. Before we went in opposite directions, he gave me a code word & told me next time I saw him in concert, to come see him backstage.

Never got to see him again.

I saw him live probably 10 years ago at a beer fest/bbq fest. Fuck he was so wasted and so fun. He had some catchy hits that you’d here on Classic rock radio every 20 fucking minutes. That is all I really have to say about Eddie Money. Peace out.

So sad. R.I.P Eddie 🎶🎤

All the people I listened to growing up are passing on. 😪

Thinking about Eddie today these lyrics to one of my all time favourite songs popped into my thoughts;

A long, long time ago...
I can still remember
How that music used to make me smile
And I knew if I had my chance
That I could make those people dance
And, maybe, they’d be happy for a while
But February made me shiver
With every paper I’d deliver
Bad news on the doorstep;
I couldn’t take one more step
I can’t remember if I cried
When I read about his widowed bride
But something touched me deep inside
The day the music died

I went down to the sacred store
Where I’d heard the music years before
But the man there said the music wouldn’t play

Eddie Money earworms. I got ‘em bad, and they make me smile. :)
