Elgrin knew he should not be in the lowest chamber of the library: he was only an apprentice, and not yet a sage. As the keepers of knowledge and wisdom for all elves, sages were to keep very strict rules, but, like his master, Elgrin was more than willing to bend the rules. He knew he was risking being cast out, but the kingdom was in peril, and he felt he had no choice. He spent days under candle light, barely breathing as he listened for any sign of movement outside the secret chamber, reading book after book of ancient elven knowledge.
He heard the stories whispered by sages, but all except his own master still believed in magic. And he was convinced that without magic Rogdul would never be defeated. The best assassins attempted to kill him and destroy the orc uprising in one swift blow, but they all failed. Rogdul seemed to be protected by some kind of dark magic, and he was getting stronger and stronger. The king was now old and close to death, and his two sons tried their best to organise the army and defend the sacred city.
The princess was determined to be the one to end the war, and she was the one who challenged Elgrin to find out as much as he could about magic. She had him under her spell, and he didn’t even consider refusing her. After days of searching and reading, Elgrin found an ancient text describing an old legend about women elves who gained magical powers through a combination of ecstasy and fear. It was difficult to decipher the old language, but he realised that in order to gain that power, a elven woman would have to somehow orgasm while being afraid: simply having sex would not suffice.
“She has to know!” Elgrin said to himself and rushed to find the princess, anxious to tell her what he discovered.
