So I was gone for the better part of a month or so and I've dropped a couple spots, I'm now USC instead of UNLV And how symbolic is that? My last month has been a lot like USC's. Lot's of work and nuthin' to show for it. Except money I suppose and I bought a lawn mower, which is where the comparison falls apart.
But in looking at my droppage(Like irregardless it's a word now) I am cracking up about SI's pre-season rankings.
I mean, aside from the Oregon State no. 1 debacle could they have really thought that Fresno State was only 37???? or that Penn State was going to be better than Maryland? It just re-enforces my notion that the writers at SI work hard on the top 25(Although that's debatable. I mean Notre Dame?? Wisconsin? UNLV? I'd sure take some of what SI is smoking) and then they just fill in the remaining 92 spots by picking them out of the hat.
Not that my prognostication is much better, but I don't get paid. And my Notre Dame to the Rose Bowl pick was based on Ignorance, Blind Faith and Beer.
