They are freakish defenders of the status quo and big business to be sure. I think it would be great for Dennis Mills to win the Liberal Leadership. Two good things would come of it
1) Being on the fringe left of the Liberals he would be closest to my politics. With him in front of the Libs it would be the best chance for a guy I sort of agree with on most things to be PM
2) Being on the fringe left of the Libs as well as the ugly Being-from-Toronto disadvantage, Mills would probably have the toughest time holding onto a Liberal majority.

Because the rest of this country, being the money sucking, self centered bastards that they are have somehow projected all of their problems onto Toronto and this thuggish Toronto-phobia has taken root, making Torontonians a non-factor in Federal politics. We haven't had a Ontario PM since............Well, before my time anyway.
left of left that almost sounds down right scary. I wouldn't mind right of left doenst have to be a righter but something that comes near center but doesn't have to be entirely center.
And we have to get someone who can think in terms of 12 provinces instead of 4 for a change.

Left of Left, as far as the Liberals go, would be great for a country who suffered through 10+ years of Chretien and 8 years of Mulroney. We deserve a chance to kick some ass at the national level.

We have PM's that worry about the maritimes. Since when? Yeha I hear the campaign promises once every 4 years, but not a thing ever materializes, nothing happens. Business is pulling our, professionals are pulling out and soon the people will be pulling out of the maritimes, look at the nurses in Nova Scoatia the Governemnt don't want to bring them up to a Cost of living Salaires so they are going Ontario or South. at the rate things are going, if nothing changes within 10 years the maritimes will be a ghost town, with a few diharders let but nothing orf real substansiation{sp}
I would be giving a chance to left of left as long ans they don't go dictatorship like anyweres else in the world that they get in. and erode the peoples rights.

I agree with you int he paper work the maritimes get a good prtion, but the liberal Premiers in this area make sure the people never see benefit of this money. from what I read inthe stats we have the most dangerous roads in the entire country, the lowest minimum wages outside of the territories, and the highest taxes , but i think out west it catching up in that area.

Don't change the subject. The country bails you out time and time again and you can't seem to handle the money. I don't mean to beat up on the Maritimes(Believe me my beef with Quebec is bigger) but the anti-Toronto feeling is so annoying to me precisely because we give lots and lots of money, receive little to no thanks or prestige in return and somehow, it ends up that Torontonians are the assholes of the country.

I followed the paper trail and it disappears. It honestly disappears into the blue.
My theory a lot goes to the irving Family, the Gas/oil Magnet family here in the maritimes to keep them here. With out them in the maritimes , there would go half of everything. I really wish the wpople would rise up and go after the money you huys send us but they are to damn apathetic, for all the good it does, you might not even bother sending it cause the average Joe on the street sees no part of its effects.
I been tryign to vote in good people but nobody else is workign with me.
Everyone well the 35% that do vote only seem to see PC blue or Liberal red no other canadates seems to be noticed. I wish in a way i could get to all the nonvoteing voters and give them a shaking out of thier lethargy of status quo.

I think you should start pressing for an NDP/Alliance coalition in the maritimes. They could make some solid inroads
Then you should see if YOU could be the candidate for the Green party in your riding. Get a "We all live Downstream" bumper sticker and campaign and before you know it Todd will be the first Green Party Minister of Todd-esque things in Prime Minister Weevils first cabinet. We can change the future Todd, We can change the Future!!!!
