Did you know that many psychics predict that California will one day have an earthquake so severe that it will slip beneath the waves entirely?

Something to think about before retiring for the night.

You're welcome.:D

I'm hoping for some Anthraxc or something to liven it up!

Got to watch what you hope for.. It's possibly moved into California i guess.

My aunt works for the Govt (if i remember correctly it's some navy thing) down there somewhere. Ridgecrest (atleast that is where she lives) or somewhere near there. They had a "suspicious" powder in the mail room. She doesn't work tomorrow and will call us when she finds out what's going on.

Ack! I don't really wish for that. And, you're supposed to correct my typos when you quote me! (Didn't you read the Lit Handbook?)

When i corrected your Pimento/PIMIENTO spelling error.. you gave me some lame excuse. I gave up correcting you.. i'm thinking more of corrupting you ;)

The SF Bay area is where the San Andreas fault is locked. They don't get many small earthquakes. They get the huge, knock-down and drag-out earthquakes.
Yeh. I was born/raised in San Diego, went to college in SLO, and have lived all of my adult life in/around Santa Rosa, north of the City. (San Francisco - don't call it Frisco or you'll be stoned out of the place. Just a little insider's hint. No, no. No tip required. That one was on me.) I was there in 1988 (1989?) when the World's Series got disrupted and the freeways fell down on cars. Now THAT was a big one, by golly!

I like earthquakes. They're fun as long as the epicenter is at least 50 miles distant or it's below about a 4.0.

Come by and say hello when you get there, Guru.

They're all on our payroll, those psychics. We're trying to stem the tide of lemming-like newbies who are clogging our freeways and dirtying our beaches.
:p

That will occur in 10,000 years, though, so I wouldn't sweat it.

Ah, got it...Note to self: too early to invest in Palm Springs oceanfront property.

Then, the windows started rattling (an understatement) and I bolted, naked, out of bed and stood scared shit-less under a doorway.
If you're gotta be standing naked and scared in a doorway while an earthquake rumbles all round you, i guess being shitlessly scared is better than the alternative.

Would you stop with the "nasty-bait"

I don't remember how old I was, but I was probably about 13. And that would have been 30 years ago. (Fuck, am I *that* old?)
